Hi Moss, Mark Miceli here, and the Princeton profile you are referring to was one I did, and thanks very much for the compliment!! There are no others from myself, although I did profile my old Marshall 1969 Super lead, which I purchased new back in the day, and I have selfishly never had it made public. If you are curious about my profiling process, it was a friend's Princeton, and I used an old Radio Shack PZM mic draped over the amp flush against, as it is a pressure zone mic and the element was flat against the speaker grill, which I believe captured the whole cone's surface. The mic's graph is about as flat as you can get, which is why I used it, and why I believe it sounds as good as it does. I'm not a fan of normal dynamic mics for guitar speakers, as it acts as a filter. So, using a pressure zone mic that is extremely flat, was my way of achieving an "amp in the room" sound. Since it was a borrowed amp, it was a rushed profiling session, and I didn't experiment further with placement. However, if I were doing it again, I would have experimented with sitting the amp on the floor and placing the PZM also on the floor probably less than a foot away, with the element facing up and capturing the interaction with the speaker and the concrete floor. My reasoning for that would have been to capture the sound with an early reflection, which I like very much. So I highly recommend PZM microphones for profiling. Thanks again for the compliment!!

Hey. Guys what kind of switching solutions would you suggest to maximize a Player Level 3. I'm looking at the Morningstar MC6 currently, mainly because it has a screen and it would be really handy.
Any other solutions you can suggest?
Highly recommended !!!https://youtu.be/Dzjrb4wKKj4?si=pmGE320n6QhJGHnM

It does sound great, but so does the competition. Since it's obviously aimed at the pedal board folks, most of those players already have their favorite OD, but on the other hand, it may be tough to compete with the Tonex One, because again, the pedal board folks likely already have their favorite effects, and the ultra small Tonex will fit on any board, and the larger size of the Cortex is not a plus, in that case, even if it has effects, as the efx would likely be redundant. I'm hoping Kemper releases a plug in, of the profiler, where only Profiler owners can access it, with their license, the way they did with the Access Virus. This would be killer, so one could utilize it with Gig Performer.

Is it or will it be possible to run wet dry wet using the xlr as the dry?
-
I’m wondering if it is possible to use the xlr output as a dry in a wet dry wet setup. If not now maybe a free upgrade?

Maybe that can be achieved by doubling the slots' capability, have two effects per slot, where one press gets you effect A, and a second press gives you effect B.

Guitar modeling (types, 12 string, alt tunings, etc.), ala Roland/Boss, would also be awesome.
-
Well, I combine those two by GK13 into SY1000, one of the modeled guitars out via sub out into the input of the Stage. Then I have the rest of the SY instruments going into a mixer via main outs, and the Stage also going into the mixer. It's a great combo, but lately, I'm trying to a smaller rig, without sacrificing sound, and am running the SY as part of an aggregated audio interface into Gig Performer, using the same principle as with the stage, but substituting plug-ins for my Stage. I leave my two Kempers at home for recording.

Here are some alternatives, that I have heard good things about.

I can see a new marketing campaign....Kemper...it's so addictive, it's like crack...
That would be spelled Krack, as in Kemper Krack

Back in the late 60's I was told, by someone I trust, that it is the output transformer, that makes the largest difference, and he didn't think to try that.

It is always interesting to me that 'advancements" for guitar amp tech, are usually centered around perfecting the past tech. What I'm hoping for, is that a genius like CK, actually advances what a string instrument can be made to do. He has his feet in both worlds, and Roland isn't as receptive to giving more than necessary. Only Kemper has delivered way more than promised, after the sale, at no cost, in my 57yrs. as a pro. Please take us out of the 1950's!!!

Well, the members of that forum are very sensitive to issues like that, so the lack of talk about latency, etc., tells me there is no such problem that is noticeable. Every one of my solid bodies have trems, but I have been tempted to put one on my acoustic, or jazz guitars.

How about a Kemper Kombo amp? One twelve, with a second output jack for stereo to another Kab.
