Yes ,but if i open this rig on my rig manager , i see tone set to 10 .....
and all settings exactly the same as on mine screenshot ....
I don't know why this is happening (some beta bug ? )
(and I'm not 100% sure about the first example anymore, I've done a lot of them these days, and could get confused , i tend to think 10 )
Atlantic No, I don't think this is a matter of taste, because if someone claims that these models are accurate, they must be accurate, and I have already laid out many examples of analog pedals in this thread so that you can obviously hear a significant difference.
Just think if the kemper amp profiling was at the same level from beginning - what kind of feedback would he get? )

But that didn't happen because the kemper do profling very,very close ,, and I say this, an old school fan of tube amps ...
And a very meticulous person about the guitar sound.
But to my great regret - the overdrive modelling is not at the same level (
In the early days of the kemper, I bought mine after 2 months of the official release, I already talked about the fact that overdrives are very weak, and posted examples on the this forum.
Even if Christoph Kemper himself agreed with some sort of digital harshness and clipping in the my examples in this thread

My friend did a proper test ,and result pretty the same ....
And i understood why you couldn`t exactly repeat mine
For some reason my rig profile don`t open properly .....with my friend rig manager
i give him a screenshot with proper settings ..and everything fell in place...

All this proves that the problems with harsh are in the kemper drive model...
It just don`t sound right,, and green scream ...as well
I`m already asked my colleagues and friends with KPA ,to replicate my test ,and waiting for results..
this question is very important for me,because i still think that overdrives is weakest side of kemper...
and i would be very happy ,if i could refuse to using my analog pedals ..and do all in the box.....
Next ,i did another test ,,,recorded small rocknroll riff with my real maxon and kemper drive
and reamped both thru clean channel of my jcm800
KD sounds really weak in this case ,no punch ,no attack ,,,very dirty ...

I clearly hear this "digital harshness " ,about which i talked early - ....in your video..
This is very strange ...i exactly replicated your result witn tone knob on 7 .....
with my rig - tone knob is set to MAX
And you result has no dynamic at all,,,,worse than my original ....
Today i took 20hz-20khz sinesweep test tone ,and reamped it thru kemper drive via analog ...
Result -is absolute insane and heavy audible aliasing ....
May be this is the key of this digital "harshness " ?

Try to up input level a bit ,,and your results will be identical to my ...
this means - what "digital clipping " - is not only my problem ....
For reamping ...., if something plugged in front ,alternative input not working.....
Just now ,for clear experiment,- i rebooted kemper ,loaded my test profile and DI(which i uploaded on gdrive ) , reduced rig and main volume -to - 10 db and reamped it myself via analog , eventually - absolute identical result......
i forgot one thing ,,, in case of my "dynamic" test ... real pedal and kemper drive -recorded in front input of KPA ...
with real pedal i just bypassed KD stomp ..leaving all my signal chain is empty ......
That suggest that the main or rig volume is not the problem ....
for replication , i made DI , result with KPA ,,,and this rig profile ...
Everyone who have option for reamping (digital or analog ) - can replicate it ....

And one thing ,,, with my hardware i have bunch of software (vst ) screamers,
Cytomic ,Bx,Audiority,Tse and most of them sounds really close to my pedals ...no harsh top end ...
good dynamics,fat and smooth tone ...i did a tons of tests for myself......
I did another small test with dynamic playing , from piano to forte
two takes,same guitar,same cable ....
I clearly hear how strange and unnatural sound produced by Kemper drive ....
(i hate this term - but it sounds "digital" )
and waveforms are completely different ... -real pedal acting smoothly with volume
with KD - volume curve remind some sharp jumps ....and when playing it feels same ....
Because it`s different takes .....and i lowered a bit gain on KD .....
overall character -is same ....

I recorded three analog OD pedals ...and none of them don`t produce such highs...
Do you listen my horizon pedal examples ....? they have huge difference in drive knob sound ......
