The strange thing is usb key is not discovered when unit is started. I need to unplug-replug it.
Is it linked ? Does it sound like a power supply problem ?

i updated and it worked fine but i shut it down and the screen was flashing red so i flicked it on again to see if it died but i came back on fine so i dono what the hell that was

With the network port on the back, I'm pretty confident Kemper will release a small embedded web server able to manage, import/export rigs, and edit tags.
Also a remote control would be pretty useful for me, when KPA is next the the stack on the amp room to control from the control room.
HTML5 would allow access from computers, and other small devices...
I was thinking about new Whammy by Digitech, only the drop tune section, or the Morpheus Drop Tune...
Even if the sound isn't perfect, there are pretty usable at least in the context of a live riff, or a studio doubling take.
Assuming the effect quality of the KPA, Kemper team should be able to deliver a decent one
Anyway, I prefer Kemper team to release few good quality fx instead of a lot of unusable ones.
I would like to see a polyphonic Drop Tune stomp to transform a 6-strings guitar to a 7/8-strings one
I used to play with my KPA for several days now...
Up to now, the first improvements I see concern the user interface.
* Push of same button again returns KPA back to where it was :
as my preference is for System/Page 3/Direct Edit = on, I can go to one of the stomps/stack/effects with one push of a button, and in order to return back I have to press EXIT.
EXIT is perfect, especially when I'm lost while editing, but in order to have a quick look on, let say, the delay model/parameters, I would prefer to press the DELAY button, have a look, and then press the DELAY button again in order to return back from where I was.
I think this behavior can be generalized to all buttons like RIG for example.
* Tag copy/paste :
another improvement, should be able to copy and paste a whole tag content. I like a lot the tag system and also the editing like it is now, but because I use to reorganize tags on my own, copy/paste would save me a lot of time.
* Text editing, lowercase to uppercase :
I would prefer to turn clockwise to change from lowercase to uppercase
* Tag length :
it seems that all tags doesn't have the same length ?! For example, when I edit a rig and save it, I use to always put in comment the name of the initial rig, but unfortunately Rig Name have 32 character and Rig Comment tag have only 20... very minor improvement but why not ?
* Stack info :
there's some room for more tag infos or for higher font characters
Since KPA is able to profile amp-cab-mic, it would be interesting to add the ability to profile the monitor out gear in order to extract at least the inverse eq response to flatten it.
(I already talk about it here Monitor output profiling !)
My personal choice is definitively PGA04 among lot of other devices.

There are Two Notes Torpedo devices too but around the budget level of KPA itself.
I partially agree on some difficulties to make it perfect, but there are quite similar to cab profiling. There isn't extreme dead frequency on a speaker and no frequency/formant shifts as for male and female voices.
In studio, we're usually able to transform a cab to another one just with one parametric eq close to the roll-of frequency on the initial take.

It would be killer to be able to profile the monitor output, amp + cab, to correct the dynamic and the frequency response of the monitor out chain, in order to make it reasonable flat. This way, profiled amps and cabs would sound very close to the originals even on the monitor path.
Imagine to profile the environment (home, room, studio, stage...) just before playing... !
