In this video, I control the looper of Kempers with a simple FCB 1010. Sorry for the poor quality, it is meant for demonstration purposes only.
The control works smoothly, how the FCB must be programmed, you will find in this thread.
Thanks to DamianGreda and CK, to make this available!)
With the Kemper Remote that goes certainly more comfortable, but it's ok for me, especially since I use the Looper function mainly to practice (live need only a very few sequences...)

I want to create a profile my Direct amp Hughes & Kettner Tube 50 amp and have a question for the technical experts among you: I have the amp (head), a H&K 1x12 box, a external Hughes% Kettner Red Box, a Art TPS II preamp wich can also work as a DI Box and a bad standard Behringer direct box DI20
.
The amp has three outputs: 2x8 Ohm speaker and one which is labeled with 8-16 ohms. Is it technically possible, to connect the box to one of the 2x8 Ohm outputs of the amplifier and to the second speaker output directly to the input of profiling Kempers?
Or must this signal be processed with a DI Box? If so, does it work with the ART TPSii or the Behringer direct box and how do I wire up this gizmos? My Red Box can do this but colors the signal and this function can not be switched off to my knowledge?
I've already thought to use the Return Out signal of the amplifier, but there is only the preamp signal, right? Is there a way, with this equipment to create a Direct Amp profiles by means of a technical tricks or it is impossible? I prefer to ask before I destroy one of my devices...
Thanks for your answers!

Nice to hear that some of you like it, thank you! I met Mike a few years ago after a show, he is a very nice and friendly person. And an awesome guitarist!

I use the KPA principle in the browser mode and I want to switch between two guitars I´m using live (one acoustic and one electric). Unlike the other parameters of the Input Stage, Input Source is global and not stored within a rig. If I put a guitar on the front input and the second on Alternate input, the front input is always active and I have to unplug this if I change the guitar. This is very uncomfortable. Surely there is a better solution for this (in Browser mode), can someone tell me this?
Thanks! -
Thanks for your nice comments!

Hi Timo,
unlike the other parameters of the Input Stage, Input Source is global and not stored within a rig. So I´m sad about it, but this doesn´t work.

Since I want to use two guitars alternately, it would be great if the input source could be controlled by Midi (at least switchable from the Front Input to Alternate Input). So that I could have a guitar on the front input and plug in a second guitar on alternate input and control them through the floorboard.

Great, I like it!
Rock on!

For the non - metal heads among you here is a link to my new song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxlK4QgDlD4
It's a jazzy tribute to Mike Stern - the profile I´ve used for the lead guitar is the Cornford Carrera of TAF (thanks to Andy!), added Reverb, Delay and Chorus.
I hope you enjoy it!

Me too - the 550s are good sounding working animals

When I use my acoustic guitar with the front input, everything is normal and works fine. Maybe it´s indeed an impedance issue - if I plug in my electric guitar in the return input, the crackles are still there. Maybe it helps, if I use a DI-Box before the aux input to get the signal to a line-level?
-
Thank you for your great input!
I have the cab in my acoustics - profile disabled as I prefer the direct sound.
Stomp A is defined as the "input loop"
Stomp B has a slight compressor
Stomp C is an EQ
The stack section is bypassed (except the EQ section on)
In the effects section I sometimes use chorus, delay and reverb. For this reason, the AUX input is not optimal. I am controlling my KPA via MIDI (FCB 1010), so the manually switching of the input section is very awkward since this can not be switched via midi.
As I said, basically my setup works well, it is just this unusual volume-cracks. Can this possibly be the compressor? (but should not be ...) When I disable the compressor, there are less cracks but unfortunately they do not disappear completely. -
I want to use an electric and an acoustic guitar with the KPA (FW 2.8 whatever) alternately. The electric guitar at normal input and the acoustic on the return input, mono loop activated on Stomp A. This generally works well, but there are unexpected volume jumps when the rig is enabled with loop in A Stomp. Why is that? Does anyone have this problem and it can be solved? Are there better alternatives to use two guitars (eg A/B box)? Can someone give a good advice?

Hooray, I can do that too

Has availability been announced anywhere?
Ingolf, take a look here

I myself am intrigued by the Kemper beer bottles in the background...
I cannot imagine Kemper bringing out beer.
Not their territory. -
Does anyone know if the looper can be controlled via MIDI CC messages?
-
Very interesting, I did't see that before, thank you!

Has anyone of you the Yamaha DXR 10 and the Yamaha DBR 10 compared to A / B test? Apart from the lower power it interests me, as the DBR 10 sounds in comparison.
