I’m taking my First foray into profiling after years with Kemper now that I have a DI box.
My question is- can I profile the entire rig from AXE or Neural directly using the DI box and get perfect profiles?
Thanks

Guitars were quad tracked
I actually used a free JCM 2000 profile, which is astonishing, given that I have upwards of 30,000 commercial profiles
Pickups are EMGs
Recorded with Kemper. My first recording
#KingSkull
Good luck!
What did you decide to go with instead?
Crate Blue Voodoo
Not that it’s a particularly great amp, but it Was my first tube amp. Nostalgia!
Thanks for these!
thanks, guys. But my question is: what is that third wire supposed to be? Black? Red? What wire connects a positive to a negative without affecting impedance, speakerr polarity or whatever??
Simple question. When wiring a 2x12 cab the manual suggests:
Powered Kemper> Positive to positive, negative to negative, and one more wire to connect the speakers: positive to negative.
Is there a certain wire to connect positive to negative?
I tried various setting changes in the input/output section menus and googled the problem to no avail. It's running properly as far as I can tell except the tone is noticeably distorted and souns terrible when palm muting.
Is this a common problem? Should I upgrade audio-interface? Thanks
There's a great deal of selfishness in this thread. If you don't want a metronome, simply don't use it if it appears in a future firmware! There's many features of the Kemper I'll never get around to using. NEVER! But, I'm not mad at the bloke who will get some use out of those features.
2019 was huge for Kemper! Now that we have the Editor, the floor unit, and the Kemper Kabinet eventually on the way(2020?), are we nearing the end of big developments?
I've been here since 2012, and will remain until I can no longer play guitar. What a great ride!
Hey, I'm not complaining at all! I'm thrilled beyond belief with Kemper.
Very nice. How heavy is it exactly?
58lbs!!!
I stripped the amp down to a shell. I built up woodblocks for the difference in width and height(3u) to mount the rack rails. I used liquid nails(glue) and construction screws along with nails from a nail gun to secure. I also added a wood slat across the bottom where the Kemper sits for added support. I used wood spray paint to give it a finished look. It is very secure, no worries about the Kemper getting damaged in any way.
It is rather simple, but it did take a little planning.
Sounds great too. I love having both digital and analogue output options. The powered Kemper is very underrated!
I have been playing combo amps for most of my life and I'm just impartial to that form factor.
So I combined my two loves, Kemper Power Head+ G1275's into one unit. It's heavy as hell, but it looks great!
I modified an old Randall amp and re-tolexed it. I'm having a custom "Kemper" grill cloth being designed, but you get the idea
I have the Kemper and the AXE III, I just sold the XL. I'm an at home player, playing through ADAM A-7s. All I can say is that there are profiles and presets from both units that I love, so I go back and forth between the two. It's awesome to have both units because both platforms have tremendous communities and offerings. I am in tone heaven! Total bliss, I could play all day!
If I had to choose just one, it would be very difficult, but I would get all of my needs with the AXE in terms of effects and routing. I've been with Kemper from the beginning, so obviously I have no real complaints about this unit.
The prices for an XL right now are crazy low! You could probably save a couple hundred bucks by going with AXE
I was considering this very idea. Run two in stereo. That would sound thick
Awesome rendition! I've been playing the game for 20 years! lol
I made a profile of the Metal Spread preset in the 11R. That preset was pretty over the top with compression and so is this one. Hope you like it.
Look for 11R Metal Spread in the exchange.
Thank you, Sir! Outstanding work! Wish I could send you my AXE to be profiled! =)
Loved my 11R but no sense in keeping it around with a Kemper and an AXE. There was one preset I really liked called Metal Wide. Any chance you could profile that bad boy?!?
