is the master volume supposed to work on the monitor out too? hope not because it doesn't om mine
No there is a separate master volume out for the monitor send under the 'master' menu ( press and hold the master button) -
It's his opinion. It's like in the "real" world... some prefer Marshall, some prefer Mesa, some prefer Fender, some prefer Fractal.
Let's just not be childish and take this to a flamewar... there are enough in the Gearpage and the fractal forum already
The KPA is great for cloning sounds, the Axe is great for creating new sounds. It depens on what you like. If you want to change some frequencys in your virtual transformator than you have to get the Axe (though - it's not neccessary to change it to get a good sound out of the Axe).I (personall) thik the KPA is better, too. But that's just my opinion, I have no problems with people preferring the Axe

I believe that after getting more and more profiles all will get very complicated to find a profile I like.
Could you add a feature to mark profiles as 'favorites' and then either show only 'favorites' or 'all'It would be nice to extend this, and in addition to what armin has requested to also have a facility to save a profile as favourite 'amp A' 'amp B' etc. These could be saved to performance per sets for live use. The idea would be that any changes of or tweaking to 'amp A' for example would automatically be transferred to all rigs which use that profile.
Saves a great deal of fiddling around with live sets of presets etc. -
The Kemper bandwith seems more restricted (lack of sparkle highs)
Not wishing to start an argument, we all have different opinions, but those sparkle highs on the axefx are (in my opinion) one of the faults with it (too accentuated, not at all like a real amp) Has been right since the beginning, and up until recent firmwares there was a recommended eq setting to get rid of them.
It has improved a lot recently but ,again in my opinion, remains. -
Anyone who can get their hands on A Marshall 2205 to profile the settings below?
Michael Schenkers rig. One of my fave guitarists.
I used to own a 2205 and they are great amps. The settings shown work very well indeed (very loud though lol)
Mine got damaged in a flood. -
Nice one Armin

Those profiles from her (him?) are really great with awesome dynamics.

Ive already posted these elsewhere b4 this forum was up and running so I apologise to anyone who already has them
I found some pics on the net of EVHs live amp complete with 'sharpie' marks for his settings so I just set the EVH 5153 up like that.

The 'clean' clips are quite crunchy using an evh wolfgang, which has quite high output pups, but in a very nice old plexi sort of way.

These are profiled from the direct out of the palmer, in effect giving a profile of the preamp and power amp but no speaker. Perfect for power amp/guitar cab setups. First one is Rhythm channel. 2nd one is Lead channel. Lead channel profile has way more gain than I would normally use,so I tend to back off the gain quite a bit for my use.http://dl.dropbox.com/u/55560387/201…0-%205153B.kipr

AFD100nc is profiled direct and works well with power amp/cab. -
Nice one Armin. I never thought to do that before I sent my axefx2 back!

I would really love to have a return gauge level to be sure that my profil return isn't clipping the KPA input and use the best possible resolution offered by the hardware.

Hi all
Newb Kemper user here (as I suppose many of us are just now)
Ive had mine for a few days now. I was lucky enough to get an axefx2 a couple of days before hand and got to try them both.
Without going too much into it, the axe2 was returned and the Kemper stayed,
Ive owned both an axefx standard and an ultra in the past for a total of about 3 years. Never quite lived up to what I hoped it would.
This KPA is to me a different league. Im not that bothered about loads of effects routing capabilities etc and the fx on the Kemper are to me excellent quality.
I would like to see a pitch shift/harmony/whammy fx so I could ditch my eventide pitch factor.
Otherwise Im loving the Kemper so far.
