Ok, my setup doesn’t allow me to calibrate and fine tune the mic cab combination for the “perfekt” sound and I personally prefer direct profiles, but I will create and check quick and dirty studio profiles.
Perhaps 2.0 and classic
PS: since the last 1.0 profile 7 years are gone… therefor my studio moved from ground to 2nd floor and the cabinets in the basement are far away - no problem with XLR but a real problem without motor driven control of the mic(s).
That’s why my profiles will be more like a quick live setup with one mic.
On the other hand I could also test how direct profiles are influenced by different speaker.
The speaker and output transformer interaction depends on the impedance resonance of the speaker (between 50 and mainly 75hz)
The resonance of the 2.0 cabinet i suppose is an acoustic resonance factor or a mix of both. If it’s a mix this is not easy to separate!
