I bought this device at the launch price and paid a lot more for extra upgrades. As a customer, I expect a certain level of quality. I'm not trying to start an argument or create a personal issue with anyone. But I think I'm allowed to say what I expect and the flaws I hear.

I was disappointed with these packs and profiles; they sound too bright and raw. If anyone else is having the same problems, please share your solutions. If not, it just means you're happy with the sounds, and I'm cool with that.

If this is an open platform for Kemper users to chat about hardware, packs and software, whether solution-oriented or not, deleting my comment as 'irrelevant' would clearly show that you're not open to criticism.

I feel the way you do, but honestly the sound of an amp recorded is just like this, with that raw and high frequencies scratching my ears, but when I cut the high frequencies it starts to sound really good.

Honestly I think it's better to have more information in the frequency spectrum than have less, just because it's easy to cut, but impossible to add frequencies that are not there...

Recording guitars, specially high gain tones is just like this.

I feel the same way with Tonex and Quad Cortex, but I prefer Kemper because I have more tools to shape my sound.

I've found that the monitor out can be balanced with the TRS to XLR I think I'll start to use those instead of stereo DI.

Understood. Thanks for expanding my knowledge. I'll give it a go myself.

But, the way it is right now, you can have only one ASIO driver running, I can't have my DAW and RM at the same time.

When I'm using Ableton I just need to activate RM ASIO and deactivate Ableton...

But with Fender Studio Pro I'm experiencing some crashes...well, Fender Studio Pro is also a bit buggy, I believe it's not all the blame in the RM...

I run multiple microphones in my home studio for other instruments and don't normally use the Kemper for bass, so it's just the workflow I like. Adding a random audio interface from an instrument I'm recording just introduces variability.

I do also work with external audio interface because I have several synths, drum computer, mics connected...but still, like to do reamp when I'm working on guitars...with the flexibility of the 4in4out

The OP that started this thread, like many of us, is using a Kemper Player, which has no SPDIF. Even if the Player did have it, SPDIF isn't that great for reamping since it only has 2 channels instead of 4 like USB, which allows for a stereo wet track plus a DI.

That's how I use...2 outputs to record a stereo main output, and output 3 and 4 to record DI and stack if I want to add FX in my DAW...pretty flexible...it would be great to have 2 more inputs for soloing reverbs and delays...

This. This is the issue. Upgraded to a public version and it tanked ASIO. Not good enough.

Yes but now it's beta again...so...

(But I understand what you saying, I feel the same, this ASIO issue is a real pain when I'm recording and re-amping, when I'm working with studio one it freezes all the time, when I'm with Ableton it just doesn't work, doesn't freeze)

Ok we got new upgrade, this time we got back to beta version. Is that it?

I thought the official release was already out, maybe it was a kind of a dream...for me that's ok, it's perfect, kemper is still a great unit, every company has their flaws and issues, if they solve the issue for the customers it's good enough.

    ❤️❤️

I've upgrades from studio one 7 to fender studio pro and I'm experiencing crash. I thought I could be the unstable studio one upgrade but it only happens when I have rig manager open, even on CC audio mode.

With Ableton live it doesn't translate, not even with studio one V7. That's odd, maybe it's a conflict made by the 2 sides.

I've tested all three...i've never made a profile, because I just want to use the better ones and I'm not a profiler, I'm a guitar player. These profiles are the type I would put in the trash, but I can notice that 2.0 is clearly thicker and better sounding. It's great to have these comparisons, but honestly I still use some 1.0 over bad 2.0 profiles. Hope soon we will have very good 2.0 profiles. Maybe someday I'll try to make myself one profile, but honestly I don't really want to be a profiler guy, just want to play guitar and make music.

I was playing with HX stomp XL + Tonex combo.

It was great, I had a lot of possibilities. Then I got a Kemper player and MIDI CAPITAIN with the pyswitch.

I loved the sound and the flexibility, now I have much more possibilities in the stage. Because HX just has scenes among 8 blocks.

With kemper player lvl 3, I have 5 presets with 8 different effects (plus the fixed effects) and morph, and individual stomp activate/deactivate and 3 footswitches for combo individual effects... It's another level of flexibility.

Then I got the rack. It's great to have hands in control. I'll get the remote someday, but for now the player and the midi controller is just the perfect match...

I agree: Kemper should provide an official 2.0 start pack with professional profiles that should indicate the full potential rigs to the customer.

It's hard to understand why Kemper doesn't know how to profile as well as the other profilers!

    I don't want to argue, it's just a personal opinion :)

I'm almost sure that they're working on that... But as far as I understand, it's a small company, give them time to operate. They're developing an amazing job. It's not the most accurate for those null tests nerds, but it's the most reliable tool, they didn't sold to touch screen because of the compromising longevity of the unit, honestly I really think that Kemper is always thinking about the the customer interests.

I thought we would have profiles free pack with this official release, we didn't had that luck. But I'm sure we will have it soon...
