Even if you drag just one it say "syncing 5 items". Ignore it, this software has it has own hiccups.
I would drag and drop about three lets say, then restart Rig Manager to reload a fresh state to be sure it's really saved as you intended.
If you'll see it properly saved you can go on. Otherwise contact support because it could be a faulty device.

You have to drag them one at the time.
It's better to open the second window (right click on My Profiler) and then drag and drop one by one. Drag, wait for saving, repeat. Like a monkey.

My personal opinion based on crash report based on a quick analysis:
This is a bug in Rig Manager itself (in the connectivity library), not something you caused. To work around it:
1. Make sure your Kemper Profiler is powered on and connected via USB before launching Rig Manager — this reduces the chance of the USB state changing during the startup window.
2. Check for a newer version of Rig Manager (you're on 4.2.11) — this type of destructor crash is likely known to Kemper.
3. If it keeps happening, try connecting via network/WiFi instead of USB, which bypasses the Kemper::USB::Connector entirely.
4. You could also try disconnecting other USB devices to reduce the number of USB interface runloops (the report shows 8+ USB runloop threads, which is a lot). -

it's hard to know how to avoid it.
It isn't. A regular update to the latest version is flawless.
You had just bad luck. I was lucky one and I never had to update from USB. It's just a way it is.

Have you explored output settings in Rig Manager? And corresponding input settings in Reaper has match.
I cant hear it unless I record and play it back.
It looks to me like an incorrect output settings during recording.

Hmmm, it looks like a bug. I would contact support. After reinstalling app and trying to clean cache if possible.

Initially it took a while to sync status from the device. A few seconds or something like that. I should be in sync in a minute imho.

Hi everyone,
The KPP has five assignable footswitch functions (3 buttons + 2 combo presses), configurable on the System tab. There are many possible combinations depending on your use case — looper setup, slot switching, effect toggling, and so on.
On the Output tab, Kemper already provides a nice set of pre-defined presets (Basic Home Studio, Kone(s) Full-Range, Live w/ Guitar Cab, etc.) that make it easy to get started with a common configuration and tweak from there.
It would be great to have something similar for the footswitch button assignments on the System tab — a handful of ready-made presets for common use cases. For example:
- Default — the factory defaults
- Looper — optimized for looper control
- Slot Switcher — direct access to individual slots
- Effect Control — buttons mapped to toggling effectsBesides saving time, these presets could also serve as inspiration — showing practical examples of how the five buttons can actually be used together for different scenarios.
This would make it quicker to reconfigure the buttons when switching between different playing scenarios, instead of reassigning each button manually every time.
Just a thought — curious if others would find this useful too!

I also emailed Support and told them the current beta doesn't help the problem.
There is a new, stable version 4.20.10. Anyway, I'm not sure if there is a difference against the latest beta.
