That’s not what I was trying to say unfortunately. I was told it was intentionally omitted and that I was the only person that had asked for it. The implication being that it was unlikely to be added in future unless enough users start asking.
Well… that’s just very strange that they want us to do that when that feature has been super helpful for users working on the rig manager. So how to we ask them? Write to their support email?
Add it in the feature request section of the forum. When I asked if it was a bug, something that hadn’t been implemented yet but would be in the next update I was told it was intentional and that I was the only person who was asking for it anyway. It does seem like an oversight to me unless they are already working on a replacement methodology for Lock on all machines but I don’t think that’s very likely.
That’s good to know that it’ll be in the next update. I don’t understand why they would intentionally disable that feature for the player. I can understand the limitation of effects but some of these interface features should be consistent across all their products. I really cannot wait for the next Kemper update. Another info they shared with me that will Be in the next update is the ability to assign a midi channel for the player. Right now it’s only on Omni. The manual stated it was possible but the feature isn’t there yet.
I'm not sure if it's the same as on the bigger brothers, but if so, this should give you the answer to load IR's.

Oh cool. Thanks for sharing. This might be a work around to have my IRs as presets. I’m going to do that for now. But I guess I’ll still like to find a way to import IRs from the drop down file menu. I thought it’ll be much nicer to have my fav IRs as a preloaded IR within the Kemper player.
And then the lock feature for me to lock in 1 IR and preview my list of amp tones.
Lock is not currently available in the Player. Not sure about IRs.
Oh that makes sense. But sad that they don’t have a basic feature like this available for the player.
Hey guys… I’ve 2 questions on my Kemper Player.
1) How do you import IRs? Mine is greyed out. I’ve watched a YouTube video in the past where the guy showed it’s so easy to add your own cabs to the preset.
2) how do you lock your preset block? for example, I’ve got a cab sound I like and I want to scroll through some tones while keeping(locking) the same cabs.
I remembered updating my Kemper player when I just received it. You would see the progress on the Kemper player bank and its lights. But it wouldn’t take 20mins. Also I for the update, it’s easier to connect your player to the rig Manager on your computer and run the update from there
You should observe the audio, not the lights on the frontpanel. This is because in the PROFILER audio has highest priority.
If you’re referring to my reply, it’s obviously the case. Hence the conversation. Just stating my observation. What I’m trying to say is, it appears the kemper picks up the message from the MC6 pro rather quickly but there’s a delay within it to change its presets if I’m explaining that well.
Guys just to share a little observation on my end. I’m using the profiler player and MC 6 Pro too. At the moment I kept kept things simple for a show last weekend. I only used PC and CC. I just needed to change presets. What I did notice was, when I was on bank 1, I can change from preset 1 to 2 or 2 - 1 with no issues. The issue only arises when I’m changing presets from different banks.
(Example: Preset 1 is on bank 1. When I change to preset 6 which is on bank 2, then I notice the delay)
Following up on my observation. I suspect the latency is from the Kemper player itself. What I noticed is, when I step on the mc6 pro foot switch to change presets, I see the bank lights on the player change immediately but the lights for the drive on the kemper player and foot switch lights(which indicates different effects) takes about 1 second to change.
So the Morningstar doesn’t appear to have any lag. Do take note for this observation I’m only using PC messages and not CC. And I only have 1 message per preset.
I love the player a lot but it really lacks modulation effects
I Can confirmed the problems is solved , multiple command in one button makes latency become problems
I’m only using 1 PC command and I have the latency. But not all the time. I have yet to fully test but so far I notice within the same bank I can switch presets instantly. The latency occurs when I’m changing presets to a different bank. I’m going to test these again this week.
