Certainly possible. In software and hardware development, a lot is possible, but always at a cost. And it's always a game of compromise. What would need to step back for 5s startup time?

I have a FM3 and like it very much. Getting great tones out of it. I am thinking about getting a ToneX to combine with the FM3.

Other than the FM3 I have my Kemper stage. Both are getting roughly the same play time.

Both are great units. If I had to get rid of one, I wouldn't know which would have to go...

I have spent a hundred dollars each on MBritt and Tonejunkie profiles. I don't regret it at all. Maybe I could have found profiles of equal quality by wading through all of the free profiles, but with those two vendors I am confident, that I get very good quality.

Anybody can write in their fine print whatever they like. That does not necessarily mean that's it's lawful or binding.

As mentioned before: Microsoft tried to forbid sales of software licenses with the same argument that TJ uses here. At least in Germany the courts ruled that this clause is not worth the paper it's written on. The law is above any fine print agreements.

I am an EU citizen and so EU law applies to me. Good luck enforcing, when for example a US vendor sees it otherwise.

Microsoft tried hard to prevent from sales of used licenses in Germany. Their attempts were shut down by the courts repeatedly and without fail.

I have seen that with pedals, too. Recent pedals that you can just buy new go for 150% of the sales price on Reverb. Crazy times.

I guess is that what you are describing will be the next generation of modelling. Can't wait for it. However, I guess that is complicated to implement and may not be around soon.

Link of SPDIF volume to master volume is broken as long as RM is started. Once I close RM, the link works again (on my stage).

I have a different problem since I have updated:

• The Master Volume in the Output section ignores that SPDIF out is linked. Changes to master volume do not change SPDIF volume
• As long as the device is connected with Rig Manager the master volume on my stage also does not change the SPDIF volume. When I close RM, the the master volume knob on the stage again works as expected.

I have both. Like the sound of both but I use the Kemper more often. I just have some profiles (Tone Junkie, M Britt and TAF) that just work for me.

QC has nice usability but is lacking in substance (editor, models, effects, plugins). So - at least for me - QC is more of a promise while Kemper is already there.

Hopefully just a small change: please open folders in the tree view on double click. Right now, double click does nothing.

I don't know about Fractal user experience and ease of editing. But the Kemper UI (Stage, iPad app and MacOS RigManager) leaves much to be desired. The user experience - at least to me - is outdated and incomplete. Just my two cents.

I would be down for a Kemper 2 without any doubt. Wouldn't even think very long about it.

Besides all those good suggestions you have made (and were made in other threads), I would wish that my existing profiles would continue to work unchanged. Backwards compatibility is very high on my wishlist for Kemper 2.

User experience wise RM needs some TLC for sure.
