Output section on my KPA Rack Mk I is dead - Ordered a MK II

    I just had a gig last night and the output section of my KPA rack would work intermittently. It would work for a song and then cut out, work again and then cut out. I just powered it up today here at home and it's completely dead. I'm definitely getting signal in the front end and everything else seems to work fine. I just made a USB backup of my patches and have ordered a MK II unit which will be here on Tuesday.

    I have 3 important gigs in a row this upcoming weekend and was wondering if I will just be able to import everything from my old unit and have it work on the MK II flawlessly without any tweaking. I will be using my Profiler Remote Mk I with the Mark II and am guessing that there won't be any issues using those 2 units together.

    You should be able to load your backup rigs and settings with no problems. Since you've never moved settings that were unavailable on the MK1 version then those new parameters on the Mk2 should mostly be at there default setting when you load your older rigs. I hope that makes sense.

    Not sure, what your "ouput section" is. Is it the built-in power amp of a PowerRack or PowerHead model? Or does the issue affect all outputs including the line level outputs and the HEADPHONES output? Is the OUTPUT LED active?

    If you are still going for the MKII I had no issues migrating, worked flawlessly but a number of people on here have concerns about v14 so do some testing before the gig.

    I believe the MKI remote works fine with the MKII rack..

    Once, @ 30 mins before a show ALL my outputs failed! NOTHING going to the amp, NOTHING coming out of the speakers! In a panic, our drummer set out to borrow a spare amp..... then I noticed the singer had stood on my expression pedal at the front of the stage and muted everything!

    Arghh what a nightmare but easily done!!
