Making Direct profile with Fyette PS-2A

    ☑️ Profiler Head/Rack

    Hey all,

    I've been trying to make a direct profile of my 73 JMP 50w, using the line it from the power station. Each time I try, three profile comes out really thin and raspy, sounds a lot like when you try to play a a direct profile without a cab. The reference amp sounds like it's supposed to.

    Connections are:

    guitar to Kemper input, Kemper direct send to jmp input, jmp speaker out to amp in of fryette (speaker cable), fryette line out to Kemper return (1/4" cable).

    Profiler settings:

    return input 0.0, noise gate 0.0, No cabinet.

    Fryette settings:

    all knobs at 0, switches flat, tried various levels for line out except all the way up.

    jmp - jumpered, all knobs at noon.

    tried with and without refining the profile.

    Kemper power rack running v13. monitoring thru headphones

    I stored the profile and also tried it thru my cab with add without the cab block.

    I've seen instances of people using the fryette successfully. Anybody know what it could be or what I'm doing wrong?

  • Hi There! I am using the Kemper Player and would like to start using my Freyette PS-100 to do direct profiles; assuming the process would be similar, except I have way less I/O to use, would I do the Line out of the Freyette into the guitar input of the Kemper Player? So essentially my setup would be:

    Guitar->amp input

    amp speaker out->freyette amp in

    freyette line out->kemper player guitar in

    That seem right? I'm having a hard time finding the right answers--I greatly appreciate your time and input!
