Do 2.0 Profiles sounds better than Classic Profiles on Mk1

Yes and No. Depends on how you use them. If you play full guitar volume and at fixed gain and EQ then you won't notice a difference. You may feel 2.0 Profiles play better if you play light and heavy pick attacks, roll volume knob, etc.

Just listen to what profile sounds good then look at whether it's classic or 2.0 later.

Nevermind... I got Liquid profiles mixed up with 2.0 profiles. But maybe they behave the same??

Kemper haven’t stated that playing a Mk II profile on a Mk I Kemper will downsample anything to my knowledge. They’ve said that the Mk I will play them at a “lower resolution”, but have sidestepped defining what “lower resolution” means.

As for which sounds better, it depends on the particular profile and what your personal preferences are; neither is universally better.

Yes is my answer. I still have many mk1 rigs in my library and in my performances but build any new ones with mk2 liquid. Tricky balancing eq and output when using a mix of both. But learning everyday.

I find them better than 1.0 profiles. Cleaner note separation and better dynamics. Really want to try a 2.0 Bogner Shiva profile. 🙂

I also find them better than 1.0. I had to get used to them for a little while, but my performances are now 90% Mk2 profiles.

Finally : There are very good Bogner Shiva profiles in Michael Britt's Mk2 pack

There is definitely a compression parameter you can modify yourself.

Where are you getting the 2.0 profiles from? -- I see very little on rig manager and same goes for paid profiles. Unless I am missing something. Liquid is not the same as a 2.0

mmazur716 - most of the profile makers I use have a growing collection of 2.0 profiles. I don't want to mention names due to policy but of you go to the paid profiles section of the forum they're there.
