Ghost notes - High gain Krank profi profil

    Hi, I have a question for everyone. Since I'm currently using a high gain amplifier, Krank - I suddenly started to experience such a strange mess - and it only happens in certain parts of the game - on the H string and on the E2 string on a seven-string - I put my finger above the first fret and pluck the strings. It should appear like a flageolet, but instead it appears a strange reverberation as if a distorted telephone signal, such a strange ghost that hears mess or some kind of hum and it only does it on the first fret of these two strings. It's never happened to me before and now it's going like brutally .... anyone have any ideas what to do?

    Maybe you mean the High string. In that case you could be getting Sympathetic Resonance do to a fret getting worn down or from older strings or neck relief not adequate - because wood moves over time . Maybe try adjusting the action a little bit higher on the bad string. Then try a new string change and a setup.

    super thanks for the advice, I'll have the guitar adjusted regarding the neck. string heights and I'll probably switch to a different hardness right away. also yes, I should write string B2 correctly from the logic of the matter 😀 but since I still say to beat on H and not on B, I apologize for the force of habit 😀 anyway, thanks for the advice :)

    yes you're right but in terms of slang we used to address the H string in the band and not talk about it as a B ☺️😀 but you're right, thanks to the force of habit :)

    That said, can the OP post a recorded example? Many weird sounds can come out of a distorted amp fed by harmonics plucked at (or between) the first few frets, particularly of a low H string. Hypothesis: that profile is simply emphasizing what is actually there, in a way that may not be audible on a clean profile, or some other distorted profile.

    But:

    First fret seems hard to get sounding for kind of a pitch. You should touch slightly above first fret to get a 1/16 string relation resulting in a higher octave:

    As the note pitch of the harmonic at that spot will have a pretty low level to have to be brought up, noises and sound artefacts are likely to be present also....

    weird noises could be the springs in the cavity or loose strings behind the nut.

    I guess that the attack noise in relation to a pitched note exceeds here, even more in a high gain setting. I would take out bass frequencies as a first aid step and see what happens, even bring down the gain until the intended or former experienced behaviour occurs...

    A compressor with a short attack time and slow release should bring down an initial attack noise, too, while supporting the farther (thus quieter) natural harmonic...

    Hello everyone and I'm going to the market with my skin on as they say 😀🤘 and honestly you will think that I'm really stupid but that's the way it is... after a long investigation I figured out what it is in the end.... The first and main problem is and was that since I play through Choptones - Krank studio profile - I didn't realize and thanks to the attached PDF I didn't notice that the studio profile has the gain deliberately lowered to 8 and is kicked up by the Messa overdriver. That was stumbling block number 1. The second stumbling block was my sense of remembering important things... or I switched to a 7-string LTD V307bks guitar from strings hardness 10 to strings hardness 11. Unfortunately I forgot the law of physics and the transition caused more tension and the neck was not properly aligned for these strings. Katara has already been adjusted again to 10 strings and it is an ideal brand. as for the studio Krank profile 013 Choptones - I played the profile with the original and all the ghost-notes disappeared. So next time I'm advised not to mess with the settings more than is healthy and not with the gain at all... That's just me chasing the perfect sound in my head and then I do such things 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️but I'm now wiser for the knowledge :) thanks to everyone for any help in solving the problem and to everyone who can make fun of such a spectacle as me 😀😀 Hope it plays great for you all 🤘🎸🤘

    Dear friends, I will try to make a cross-section of My Bank today at the rehearsal room - which consists of 1. a clean guitar sound 2. a slightly distorted sound for short rock shots 3. a main rhythm guitar 4. an accompanying solo for the chorus, using a dual delay, which is a massacre in the universe 5. a main solo with an even bigger dual delay, it's like a whole universe where I have what you would call an infinite sustain 😀 we will see what can be done with the zip file - I could actually record our song Zerom - Kleopatra, which is waiting for us in the EP this year 😀 so we will see how I manage to do it all today and how I will do it.🤘🤘🤘🎸😈
