Is this on Mk1 or Mk2?

jzucker Interesting. I have a similar experience. It's mixed. Some of the "old" profiles simply sound better to me. But everyone is saying 2.0 is much better so I'm still waiting it it appears to me as well. Not yet

Just a guess from me, and I have no experience with the Mk2, maybe it's because you are expecting too much from the 2.0 profiles and you are going to still have to tweak them much like you did with the older profiles.

Could also just because they are not meant to be mirror images of the version 1 profiles, and you prefer the old tones?

Maybe you have to get used to it. They sound different than his 1.0 profiles, that is for sure. Thomas Dill once said: New profiles are like new shoes. You have to use them a lot before they are comfortable for you

What worked for me is to hit the 'Restore EQ´ and the Restore Resonance´ buttons in the amp and cab settings in Rig Manager and do some little tweaks from there. And set the amp volume to 0. I now really like the Fender Pro Junior, Fender 63 Bandmaster, Bogner Shiva and the 3P Kitchen Sink. Next up, I am going to work on the Marshalls and the EVH 5153. I am sure they will sound great to my ears as well with a little bit of tweaking.

There are indeed many profiles in this pack that are captured with a gain pedal, but also a lot that are captured without a gain pedal. I always start with the profiles that are captured without a gain pedal. Hope this helps. I am very happy with this pack and I hope Michael will release a lot more 2.0 packs in the future.

He stated that this pack was different, that he didnt load them up with his usual array of timed effects , conpressors, or doing individuak tweaking because he wanted to provide " clean" baseline set of profiles to kick off 2.0. Turns out what everyone loves about M Britt is all his personal tweaks and tasteful effects.
