It is designed only to work with the Kemper.
Some people try to make it work with other devices with special IR's. If that worked well, you'd hear about it

No. It’s a totally different speaker. If I recall correctly it was originally based on this but was modified to Kemper’s specs

According to this Article (LINK), the Kone was based on the Celestion F12-X200: "The Kone 12“ full range speaker which is made by Celestion and exclusively designed for Kemper, is based on its own F12-X200 loudspeaker designed specifically for use with profiling amps and modeling software. The sound variations are controlled and driven by the Profiler's own DSP, using a dedicated algorithm."
I used the F12-X200 for several years and really liked it (still have one sitting in a box after switching out to a Kone). The Kone imprints were very much worth the switch. The Celestion F12-X200 sounded very good with the profiled cabs in almost all cases.
If you want to use a speaker with multiple modelers, the Celestion F12-X200 would be a very good choice in my opinion.

I’m not 100% sure but I’m fairly confident that article is wrong. If you look at the back of the Kone in the article you can even see the Celestion code K12K-200 which would line up with a custom version of the K12H-200

The Kone has a slightly narrower frequency range compared to the F12-X200. Probably from using a different magnet. The Kone is more guitar focused where the F12-X200 is more of a true FRFR.

The difference is way more than magnets Larry. The F12 -X200 is a full range speaker with a crossover and compression driver tweeter. The Kone/K12-200 has a passive "whizzer" cone attached to the same voice coil as the main cone without any crossover network. Totally different beasts.

I'm not disagreeing with you Alan. I just pointed out the basic differences, my friend.
