Having played this gig in previous years i had a plan for this year's UK heatwave. The stage is in direct sunshine all afternoon and equipment will get roasted.
Top tip- one of those foil laminated foam sheets that can be used in car-windscreens or behind house-hold radiators to reflect heat. (a fiver off of ebay)
Setup and sound-check started early afternoon and the gear was exposed to the sun and heat for several hours and would have crucified anything, including the musicians.
