Why seperate cable-plugins when having a pedalboard?

Hey at all

I am still in the conception stage of my "new Kemper project" (money had to be spent for other things the last year ;-)).

What I would like to know. A lot of people who have a Kemper Stage build a pedal board around it. So far so good and the reasons are understandable for me (combination with other pedals...).

What I don't understand: Why do they make seperate cable-plugins? So you plug in the cable not directly in the Stage but in a plug in befor it? Like here: https://btpa.com/kemper-profiler-stage.html

Are they afraid that the connectors of the Stage itself can get broken? Are the plugs of the Stage fragile? And therefore a connector outside the Stage can be more easily fixed?

I’d guess it has more to do with routing or hiding the cables under the pedals or the board—to reduce cable clutter (or keep it out of sight) and achieve a cleaner look.

Its simply an added protection. pulling cables in and out is always a risk but the Stage isn;t particularly problematic.

I'm actually doing this myself although it will only be the XLR out as that will be the main cable I'll be plugging in at a gig, everything else is generally perm..

Sorry, I meant permanent.

I have my Stage fully set up on my board with my expression pedals and wireless so I don't plug and unplug anything other than the XLR connection and so everything else in permanently connected.

BTW the only real weakness I'm aware of is on the Toaster or rack with the remote connector (ethernet), which of course is not an issue for the stage or player.
