Are (raw) authentic not tweaked direct amp profiles wanted?

    From a player point of view I can understand the wish of perfect tweaked profiles (the majority of Kemper user?)

    From an amp user point of view there is a wish of an authentic amp profile.

    2.0 is able to provide really good amp profiles.

    Liquid profiling can provide authentic classic amp profiles.

    For the rest snapshots could be a starting point.


    For player authentic amp profiles should be tweaked to personal taste and there is a lot to learn about Kemper’s tweaking points.

    As an owner of a lot of amps and a creator of profiles for personal use, I am interested to know who wishes authentic direct amp profiles?

    We could share a lot. But it’s not fun if only tweaked profiles are preferred.

    May be we could mark or comment them in a special way.

    Is our definiton of raw "linear" then the EQ settings on the Fender Bassman should be bass on 0, Mids on 10 and treble on 0. But that only means you have to eq this with the kempers eq again.

    Not the difficult part. The "RAW" tone will not fit to every guitar or every cab or in every listening scenario anyway.

    IF we agree on the definion of "all knob at noon" it is the same story.


    After all, i make profiles since 13years now and the profiles i made at "noon" where nice to revisit but i mostly played the ones i tweaked to sound good to either singlecoil guitars or bright sounding rather flat active pickups like the seymour duncan blackouts. I also made a series of profiles where i tweaked the amp to sound good with these pickups and they were, over the years, the ones that i used most.

    Not sure what the original poster is looking for. So, hum, hum... sorry for my silly question: have you ever heard of a great guitarist, playing a great electric guitar, while all amp eq, gain and master set at noon?

    Ok, my intention is to provide a capture of the amp without changing the sound of the amp.

    Just the “raw” pure amp.

    If changing any parameter after profiling - I would like to know what has been changed (after profiling before saving the first time)

    For classic amps with liquid profiling I would set EQ to noon (12 o clock)

    And gain (volume) in the region of intend or on maximum.

    Vol on max for liquid profiling is not always the best option.

    An other important part to know is the load during profiling. Which speaker or attenuator.

    They may influence the output.

    Profiling 2.0 ist not perfect, but really good. I like to have a “database” of ( raw, pure, not tweaked…) well documented profiles to make comparisons of amps possible.

    But this is probably a little bit academic….

    I mean i love the idea generally, since i already did that i will add some profiles at noon on the profiles amp again but it has the problme i mentioned. The tweaking afterwards is non destructive anyways, so as long as you choose d.i. profiles you should be fine.

    I always offer the info about mastervolume and gainsettings because some amps reacts pretty drastic, like the 5150 where you have between 3 and 4 almost max gain and the rest is mainly bees xD

    ahh you mean these parameters, i only touch these if the profile it off, and then it is questionable but the only setting that the kemper actively determines is the "definition" setting the other ones like tube shape etc. can be returned to the default setting. IT would be cool if kemper would remember the definition setting they chose. like on the gain setting, but yeah. Leaving all profiles like the kemper made them without touching the advanced parameters when something is off then it is really only for development and imo it makes not sense for the player
