hello everyone 🤘🤘🎸 I'm looking for advice on using a Kemper. 🤘 given the possibilities of a Kemper, I talked the bass player in the band into using a Kemper Player for bass guitar. Now I'm wondering what rig or profile package to use for bass?? any great experiences from which manufacturer to buy a sound set? Ideal just play with modifications 🎸🤘🎸 The bass guitar will be in the metal style - and it's a 5-string Yamaha BB5000A with active pickups.... thanks in advance for the advice 🤘🤘🤘🎸🤘😈

Bass profiles are the Kemper's weak point, it's hard to find bass profiles that sound good in metal, especially 2.0. I believe the recent pack doesn't even have 2.0 bass profiles, so I wouldn't have high expectations for the Kemper when it comes to bass. But you can test the bass libraries that are already on the Kemper to see if you like them

You can use a guitar amp for bass because of their mid-range distortion for metal music. You can also increase the Direct Mix Parameter in the amp block for more thump and punch.

great thanks a lot. as soon as the bass player gets the kemper player and I'm setting it up I'll check it out thanks a lot 🤘😈🎸 PS: it's great to have my own dad as the bass player in the band, I just mentioned the kemper on the bass, he had to have it too 😈😈🎸🤘😂

a friend from another band, so they had a bass in the camper but in the mk1 version. it was a pretty good deal 🤘😈🎸 but I understand my bassist that I'm looking for a steady and good constant sound and not having to lug around so many kilos of boxes 😝😂 after all, he'll be 60 in a few years but his soul craves the same hard metal as mine 😈🤘😈🎸 anyway thanks for the recommendation

that sounds like a good idea, I didn't think of that, thanks a lot for the advice 😈😈🤘🎸🤘😈 of course the bass connection will be pretty much the same as with my guitar from the camper, one line with studio sound to the PA/sound card - the second line to the power amplifier and to the classic box as its own monitoring. For the bass, to the bass box so the assumption is that it should work and we'll see what comes of it, but those middles are a decent idea using the guitar amp, thanks a lot 🤘🤘😈🎸
