Profiler Player Rig Manager copy/paste multiple presets

  • The Profiler Model referred to in this thread is ...
    ☑️ Profiler Player

I would like to drag and drop multiple presets at once as I normally keep my presets for different bands in some folders and then drag them to the player in the first 10 slots. in this way I don't have to search for presets during live.

  • I've done it with 40+ files and it works. Just drag them in a Folder of the local library first, and then from there to the Player.

    How exactly?

    What I've tried and how:
    1. Select multiple files in Finder
    2. Moving multiple files into KPP does nothing in my case.
    3. Yes, it's possible to move it into Rig Manager tree, but not to the KPP.

Still I have to move one by one to the player.

Changed the title of the thread from “Profiler player rig manager copy/paste multiple presets” to “Profiler Player Rig Manager copy/paste multiple presets”.
  • The Player has a fixed data structure comparable to Performance Mode of larger PROFILER models. So you need to decide for each Rig you import the Bank and Slot it shoult fit in. This only works one by one. The Browse Pool of larger models and the Local Library in Rig Manager are different.

An exception is you can drag and drop Performances created on larger PROFILER models into one Bank of a Player in one go.

Why this can't be managed on the Rig Manager level?

Let's say I have highlighted 44-3 bank/preset, drag and drop 5 presets there. The expected result will be those five rigs will be copied to the device as rigs 44-3, 44-4, 44-5, 45-1, and 45-2.

If there is a hw restriction by copying one by one this should be possible to handle on the software level handling copying to the device one by one. This isn't possible?

  • This seems powerful and useful. Not near my Player now so I cannot test.

Can we create or edit the local Rig Manger performances if we don't have a non-Player unit?

    • I was able to make a copy of a performance in a local folder and change a name of a slot without a Profiler connected.
    • When I tried to past a rig into a perfomance slot in the local lib, it said I needed to change the Profiler to Performance mode.
    • The Player has no Performance mode, but maybe it will work if one is plugged in?
    • Just tried the paste again and did not get that message and failed silently. That was after I tried drag and drop (from the same or a new window) and failed silently.

I haven't found the way how to do it in the Rig Manager and KPP. I don't think it's possible. And, I would be happy if I'm wrong.

It would be great to have this possibility. But multiple copy of rigs would do it even better.
