Just uploaded three profiles of my Pittbull Ultralead.
There have at least three versions been build by Steve Fryette:
- The initial version with 100 Watts out of 2 KT88 and with a 12AU7 phase inverter tube.
- The second with 100 Watts out of 4 KT88 and 12AU7 PI.
- and finally 120 Watts out of 4 KT88 and a change to a 12AT7 PI.
I own the second version, build in 1993 (first owner here). With it's 12AU7 PI it's less agressive than the 12AT7 variant, and mine didn't come with an graphics EQ either, which most think isn't needed anyway, so...
Unfortunately there's not really a matching template for the UL tone stack. I went with the JCM800 which is fair for bass, mid and treble but is considerably off for the presence pot so I profiled with this particular knob at 7, which for my taste is the sweet spot.
I really love the crunch profile of the second channel. Think Jimy edge-of-breakup.
The channel 2 rythm lead sound is fair I think. Not too convinced by the channel 3 leadsound. There seems to be quite a bit of phasing going on.
Anyway, check them out and have fun.

Thank you!

Hey guys,
I think I'm slowly getting the hang of avoiding too much phasing so I uploaded two new profiles of channel 2 and 3 and also added a channel 1 clean sound.
These are clearly better than my first attempt, I think.
Check them out and have fun!

Nice, thanks! I have the third version with the 12AT7 and Graphic EQ (which actually does make a huge difference). I will check them out!

I've just uploaded 8 new rigs with different switch configurations of all three channels. 5 new and 3 alternative variations complementing the previous upload, if that makes sense, LOL.
-
These rigs have all been profiled with the global voicing switch pushed.
Next round will come with that switch pulled which should result in some tighter overdrive sounds.
On an aside, you can also try the Pea V 5150 amp model which should give you a quite usefull alternative EQ-range.
Another hint, play with the cab section's hi cut to controll the top end. -
9 new rigs online, amongst them the promised lead sounds with the voicing switch off. As has been said, these give you a bit tighter low mids.
I'd say these are as good as I can do them with my limited skills and tools so these are final.
For your consideration:
There's a post EQ with a tad bit of mid-boost and a high cut in the cab section implemented to match my headphones.
You may want to play with the values or disable alltogether.
Have fun! -
Just uploaded 5 more profiles, two clean and three low/mid gain channel 2 profiles.
The both clean sounds are profiled differently than the previous versions aka I'm using the distortion mode, not the clean mode.
Remember to also turn down Bright Cap Intensity when dialing down gain.
