A quick question about Remote with 4 XP pedals

Hi, One of my student has a KPA + remote with 4 XP pedals.

    He wants :

    wah, morph FX on 3 & 4

    morph FX , vol on 5 & 6

Other than assigning pedal fonction ( vol, morph, wah ) in 'System' for each and setting pedals individually in each FX , any other things to do ?

About the volume FX pedal , is it best to assign a morph on amp volume, or is there anything simpler ?

    thx !

  • You can select one of the pedal controllers for each of the PEDAL sockets: Wah, Volume, Pitch, Morphing.

Yes, you could morph a volume like Rig Volume, but since you aim for four expression pedals anyhow, that is not meaningful. Use your dedicated Volume Pedal instead with Rig-specific parameters like Volume Pedal Location and Volume Pedal Range. This way Morphing is free for other tasks.

It makes no sense to configure two Morph Pedals. You can only have one set of continuous parameters to be morphed per Rig. So these two pedals would be in constant competition.

That I didn't know , it means I cannot have a morph delay pedal + morph reverb pedal at the same time on a given rig if I understand well ?

    Many thx for your expertise:thumbup:

  • Am I also right in thinking you can have pedals assigned differently per rig, these are global settings?

I wondered because I have 3 pedals, 1 I use for volume, 1 for Wah and 1 for pitch ( mainly whammy) which I use rarely. Id love to cut down my board to 2 pedals by trading volume and pitch, not sure this works even with the pitch to volume link??/

  • There is no Pitch to Volume link. You could only link both Pitch Pedal and Volume Pedal to your Wah Pedal.

I would just link the Pitch Pedal to the Wah Pedal and stick to a dedicated Volume Pedal. For Wah and Pitch Pedal effects the heel position is the usual starting position, while for a normal Volume Pedal the toe position is the starting position, which requires conscious handling.

You could also establish a Moprh Pedal and link Wah Pedal plus Pitch Pedal to that. Than you could control Wah effects, opportunistically Pitch EPdal effects and once in a while perform Morphs.

You just need to be aware that the controllers for Morph Pedal and Wah Pedal and Pitch Pedal - when linked - move simultaneously. If you want to just trigger a whammy effect, you need to make sure, that there is no Morph and no Wah effect or the Wah effect is inactive in the Rig presently loaded.

I thought so, I tend to use switch morph rather than pedal control and so prob doesn't work for that reason. A new feature request methinks :)
