Rig manager is loadable to desktops, tablets and phones. Lets say you have rigmanager loaded on 2 desktops, a tablet and your phone. You use all the platforms depending on your location when you use your kemper stage profiler. As you bounce berween platforms or devices, you are adjusting or editing rigs. What is the hierarchy considering overwriting. I would think whatever version is on the kemper stage would overwrite versions on the various platforms. My concern is i do editing on a phone or tablet off site then having them overwritten when i use the desktop in the studio.yet another nitwit question for the best forum on earth.

The mobile/tablet versions only edit what is on the attached Kemper. There is no state in the device, so no risk of conflict/overwrite with those.
The only situation to worry about is if you have multiple laptop/desktop computers. Then you are on your own as they are independent of each other. Whichever one you use last, wins.
There is a way to setup the computers to store their data on a shared, cloud drive. There's a thread that describes this if you search for it, but its an unofficial method and you need to be careful to only use one device at at time (and fully sync before switching).

we advice against this.

Out of curiosity, could you elaborate on why this would be unadvisable please?

It's too easy to get out of sync across the multiple devices. It's not intended to do this and there are no protections to guard against corruption. And there are even more issues possible when RigManager has a new version to update.
But it is a solution to a common need. Hopefully a future version of rig manager supports something like this in a future release.

I had two microsoft surface laptops. One was kind of static as a desktop in the studio hooked to my mixer and also using ableton. The second one was more likely to get moved around from a music stand or to a table when i was first trying to build all my rigs for the first gigs i was going to make the swap from tube amps and pedal board to kemper stage only. Was mostly all set a week or two before gig when detachable keyboard quit working on second computer. I prefer working with computer as opposed to phone or tablet for display size and keyboard type.
So anyway without consideration for danger i started using computer one which had only been used a littlebit with rig manager. I started noticing rigs disappearing or mutiples of same rigs appearing and performances missing recent edits. Luckily i realized oh shit i am overwriting or missing edits because everybody knows 2 computers bad idea unless all working docs are on server not individual computers. So i got back to using co puter 2 without losing or finding stuff.
So i know everything on stage profiler is correct and created usb backup. Will be using computer 1 exclusively now for rig manager and have back up if anything needs update. I hope my ass is covered. Cant sort why computer 2 refuses to work with keyboard. Microsoft is like oh ya know we re sorry you paid $1500 for stae of the art nes product 15 years ago but it wont run windows 11 so you can just fuck right off.

You can connect as many rig managers as you like and nothing will get out of sync because Rig Manager syncs when you launch the app. The sync is one way: from your Profiler to Rig Manager. That's why there is a 0% risk of something happening.
What you'd like is to share the content of one Rig Manager to another Rig Managers. And that's not a "common need". The vast majority of our users doesn't use more than one Rig Manager.

I agree . the potential problem I created was totally of my own dumb usage, but kemper is so well engineered thankfully a problem that never existed.
