Luminite Graviton M1/M2 and Kemper player

  • The controllers have been around for some time but I figured it might be nice to give a quick overview.

There is the M1 which is a big touchscreen that can connect to their XY and EC controllers as well as their wireless and wired footswitches.

The M2 is similar but adds 6 switches (and thus is larger).

There are also options for controlling amps etc.

Why I am posting this again is that I reached out to him to see if he's willing to add a Kemper player screen. Since it is a large colour screen adding effect states, current rig and rigs should be straightforward. It feels like it should have a lot more ram than e.g. the midi captain so some of the issues around memory should not be a problem.

I feel like this might be the ideal combination, the M1 could be mounted on a microphone stand (and be seen very easily) or the M2 on the floor (to use the switches).

I hope that I can show them this thread to show that this might sell quite a few units if it integrates with the player, similar to the PySwitch firmware (but with a nicer display and more accessories)

I am not affiliated with them but enjoy the hardware and am very much hoping that this might end up being the midi controller that does it all for the player.

This post was inspired by seeing the RetroKit RetroVision since it shows a lot of what id want already

  • I'm using the M2 with the player right now and that was my first thought too when I saw the RetroKit. The M2 works well, but not having it reflect the status of the Kemper is a pain and the screen isn't as customizable as I thought it would be. I've had a few gigs where I've ended up with boost backwards because of it :)

  • I’m using a M2 & FS6 to control a KPA, H90 & H9 using BT WIDI to connect everything wireless MIDI.

Also using the 4 TRS ports on the back to connect 4 EXP pedals to control the 3 units.

This allows me to place the pedals tucked behind me. The M2 pedals are in front of me.

Not having the M2 2way not return pedal status on the screen or Color rings is not a deal breaker for me.
