Oberheim SEM VST from Arturia on both bass & synth
Kemper guitars ( my own profiles sparke cleans ) & NAM lead on ebow

  • Very nice intro and nice guitar stereo spread. Vocal chorusing came out really good.

Thx Larry I spent lots of time on mixing the vocals and it really takes some balls to sing falsetto on that intro, but I kind of somewhat start to appreciate my voice on these 3 registers , it took so long...;(

I hope to do that well with my new Arturia keyboard. :

No pb go & check the SEM on V collection, it's a goldmine of killer tones, bass line & synth chords took me 10 min & 3 fingers max ;) The growl of that bass is killer , I just had to adjust the portamento. Both are factory presets (5am bass & evolve synth)

The guitar itself is just my free 'sparkle clean' mono , played twice & hard panned with my usual DAW automation , literally took me 5 mins as there are only 2 loops.

  • Update :

1400 plays on this one, my personal record !!!

People like average french singers & guitarists :)

Great job waraba! I really like this one and I hope you don't mind me saying that to me at least your vocal treatment and also the register you're singing in here feels so much more natural and good sounding than the artificially dark/gruff sound you sometimes use. This is very poppy. You should sing a lot more!

Thx Per, yes as said , i start to dig my voice and I'll sing more & more , even with grit because I can do 3 kinds of voices, just like I'd swap guitars & tones , some fit , some don't on a given context .

I've taken the habit to sing on all my 3 registers together and the grit one adds much in the bass & thicken the whole vocal layer , so it will be there but you won't hear it. As the falsetto one , it gives a much clearer feel. it's a great habit as it forces me to sing exactly in place on 6 tracks as I double each part, to minimize editing. I've heard there are some 'vocal align' VST but I don't use them , I'll redo them until they match as real musicians do.

The other reason is cultural, french radio have a mandatory 40% of french songs on air time, so there is lot's of needs for french songs
