Yeah, well, sadly, my old Mac just went to the obsolete pile, and I am back on my old MSI Gaming rig running Win 11. I do love Mac, but my wallet has a hard time with it.
did you try open core legacy patcher for the old mac? i use my old 2013 mac running os ventura and it works ok.
I wonder if one could put an android framework on top of a linux system and get Rig Manager to run on it.

I did, but there are other applications that I use that are no longer being supported. It has become a bigger pain to use sadly. That said, I am still on the fence of getting a new one and going back. I don't mind windows, but mac integration is so much better.

Oh, I totally agree... In fact, this new version of Windows is pushing the limits of what I really like to deal with. I still use Rocksmith 2014 and a few other Windows-based apps that I am hanging on to for now. That said, I will probably go back to Mac for my next box, but I got a really good deal on a Predator Helios 18 with a 4080 GPU. That will be my rig for the time being and if Windows continues to decline, I will push Linux on it.

Everyone has to find something for themselves. I feel very comfortable with Windows, while Mac is too limited to paid software and too strictly monitored to meet standards. Sometimes you have to get your hands dirty with Windows to achieve your goals. Besides, the alternative is Linux, which in turn is very limited to open source software. Of course, if you only use 1-2 programs and nothing else interests you, then Mac is a cool thing. But if you're a bit of a programmer, a bit of a musician, and you use a variety of programs, Mac is very limited. This is, of course, my opinion, and you don't have to agree with it. But for me, Windows is a compromise between the openness of Linux, but with a lack of serious solutions in some areas, and Mac, which seems totally closed.

The mobile apps don't fully replace the desktop Rig Manager.
A browser based option would be great.
Rig Manager is the only reason why I have to keep Windows installed on a VM and along it years it has becoming really frustrating.
Linux support will decide where I will move to when I have to buy a new guitar amp. I would love to keep using the Kemper, but it is too frustrating.

I've just re-read your post. If I'm not mistaken, Midi is only available on the USB B port (same as rig manager and audio over USB). The USB A port is only to connect a stick for backup/restore/FW upgrade.

The IOS and Android apps don't replace the desktop Rig Manager. You should know that.
