MAIN OUTPUT: XLR balanced, output level +4 dBu. MONITOR OUTPUT L and R: ¼ inch TRS balanced, output level: +4 dBu. HEADPHONE Output: ¼ inch TRS stereo, 32-600 ohms, 330 mW @ 32 ohms, 220 mW @ 600 ohms.
If I understand correctly it isn’t possible for the Headphone socket to be balanced. Balanced audio works by sending two copies of the exact same signal, down two wires of a 3 wire cable. However, one signal is flipped 180 degrees out of phase before sending then flipped back at the other end. However, the headphone socket sends two different signals (stereo) without phase flipping. So although the headphone socket is TRS I don’t think the signal is balanced.
TRS is just the physical contacts: tip, ring, sleeve.
As Wheresthedug already outlined these could either be used for stereo signal separating left and right or for one mono balanced signal, which feeds the same signal two times, one time flipped. There for balanced stereo signals you normally need two cables.
