Finally installed ice power amp!

I’ve had my 1x12” Kone installed in a cabinet for a while using a small hifi amp for power and it worked fine for low volumes. Today I installed an icepower 200w amp inside the cab and I am blown away! There was limited info on how to set it all up and I am relieved to say it was as easy as I had hoped. I had to cut a hole for the power cord and wire up the input jack and speaker. Then it was go time! I was a little proud it worked on the first try haha!!

I had contemplated getting a Seymour Duncan power stage, but this was about $125 shipped and the SD was easily twice that used!!

If you are on the fence I say jump!

Glad you got it going. I’ve had one installed , in my Kabinet Klone, and it works flawlessly

You can mount a power cord, jack on the cab and use a regular power cable

Yes! That’s what I did today. I agree, it does work flawlessly. I think I waited because there was limited info on how to wire it all up, but when I looked at the spec sheet from ice I had to laugh a little because it was so simple!

What would you ground the icepower amp to?
What is the best way to mount it physically?

If you’re in the States, the only IcePower dealer is Parts Express in Ohio. I built a 200w DIY Campifier with one. Works great.

If I’m not mistaken, IcePower makes two 200 watt amps. The 200AS1 and 200AS2. The 2 is dual-channel capable (for stereo). The 1 is single channel.

Last I checked the official Kemper IcePower amp is available only to OEM customers. Has that changed?

The trick is finding a dealer who stocks it.

In the States, if Parts Express doesn’t have it (or can’t get it)……¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have the Power Kabinet and it's great.

Ended up buying a used Kabinet and have the IcePower 200 but have not been game to install it yet. Need to work out how to mount it.

I haven't checked recently, but last time around they simply didn't stock that model. It was available only from a seller in Italy and at an inflated price.
