It sure would be nice to see a future Rig Pack release with these kind of sonic creations...
Considering CK's background with synths and the sound design skills of people like Ruppert (among others) I think beautiful things could be made.

Gah I want this, so cool!
Bill could you explain how you've got this sound? Very impressive stuff
Hi Chris,
I sure can.
Its a combo of attack, filtering, vibrato and noise that the old Mellotron had plenty of!
Think about it, all those dirty tape heads mixed together with a limited bandwidth playing that perfect passage.
The Beatles end result was so cool, I am STILL working to capture just a fraction of that sound 45 years latter!!!
I always post my patches here, but this is one I am still working on.
I posted the audio clip as a work in progress.
As soon as I have time to prefect it I will place it on the exchange.

Looking forward to it, especially if something this cool is what you consider a work in progress.
Any news on this profile? I wants it bad!
I am getting close...
Greetings Mr. Ruppert(-:
Are you going to upload the Mellotron profile (rig), when you feel it's done? Or keep it as a personal, signature tone, which would be perfectly understandable.
Plus, are you now part of Kemper "OSOTP" Team?
["OSOTP" (other side of the pond).]
Hi imall!
Yes.
I sure will up load it when I think its done and will work for everybody.
I just have not had time to work on it.
Nothing signature about it.As for the othere side of the pond, I am in my own pond as everyone is afraid of what I put in the water!:-)

Thanks for the inspiring work!

WOW! Just rec'd my KPA today and had no idea it was capable of such sounds........Icing on the cake for me!!!!
Any update on a rig for this Bill?
I am still waiting……
amazing!
omg that sounds great wasnt expecting that sound
I posted a couple of "that isn't a guitar, is it?" rigs to the Exchange last year - the effects in the Kemper can create some musically useful sounds that are touch responsive enough to be played like an entirely different instrument. With the addition of ducking and pitch effects since then, there are many new possibilities.
This thread has links to the sound clips of the ones on the Rig Exchange:
