I have my first outdoor daytime gig with my new Kemper Stage on Saturday. In the past I've had problems with sunlight glare making it hard for me to see my pedal board, and I'm sure I'll have the same problem with the screen and lights on the Kemper. Does anyone have a fix for this (DIY or store-bought)? The only thing I can think of is fashioning something that shades the screen from the sun, but I'm open to any other good ideas. Thanks.

Nothing I'm aware of store-bought. I'd probably just grab some heavy paper/poster board and fashion a hood with some tape.

I was curious about this also. I've been having problems with it getting too and not being able to see the screen or lights on the sun. I found this site https://www.gearbyceba.com/line6-family-u…lash-guards-usa
they make them for helix, it also has an option for custom orders. But at $115, I'll try and make something myself.

You buy a piece of plexi glass at a lumber store, etc. and buy a small roll of window tint from an auto store. Just use one of those picture frame hooks with the reusable backing tape to hold the glass in place. Then tell everyone you are playing through a Plexi!

took about an hour to make adjustable shade. Tension knob on the side. I can move the shade up or down with my foot. Only cost about $200 in lumber! Not really, just scraps i had laying around. And it closes down flat when not in use.

When I want to make sure I have switched to the correct Performance, I block the sunlight by putting my shoe a foot or so above the remote, and read the display in the shoe shade.

So sayeth the Sasquatch.

I find the LCD screen readable if the leds are not clear. Some indication of what performance slot is active if the display is setup in that mode. We also have auto-daylight-tinting in the uk so less of a problem. Also know as miserable weather and lack of sunshine! Greater request for waterproofing the pedal than sunshine.
But seriously, as we’re on the subject, what’s your solution for wet conditions?

LOL! US size 9.5 - all I really need to see is the Performance Number to confirm I am where I want to be.

I haven't thought about wet conditions, but now that you mention it, I suppose wrapping it in cellophane would do the trick. I might have to through some of that in my bag, rain comes out of nowhere sometimes.

Outside gig with a significant chance of rain? I use a clear plastic bag.

simple an effective. Like it. Will now be part of my “outdoor” gig kit.
On those really dry days i sometimes find dust can be just as annoying so that could cover that too.
