Installer and component work both on my intel mac. I will try it on the M1 later today. But you need to sign the Package. Otherwise some users won't know how to install anyway.
Either that or they can extract the .component or VST plugins from the package and place them manually in:
~ Library / Audio / Plug-Ins / Components
or
Users /YourName / Library / Audio / Plug-Ins / Components
Damian's first version allowed you to right-click and select "show package contents" and get at them that way, but since the update an app such as Pacifist or the free Unpkg is necessary for extraction.
Works fine on PC Windows 10 PC + reaper ... great job.
Copy paste from vst to RM works too. Only drag n drop from vst to RM doesn't work
I will pack vst3 and AU component in the dmg file with the Readme.

This works great (MacOS 11.2.3, Logic10.6.1, Macbook Pro 2017)! Drag and Drop is working and it even saves the modifications that were made of the original rig (e.g. gain changed and not saved.) Perfect! Thank you!
In Cubase 11 (Win10) you have to uncheck "always on top" if you want it to stay on top.

Actually you're solving a problem which I don't have as I typically wrote indeed down the used profile in the track notes. And you're unfortunately not solving my problem of low discipline to do this all the time 
Guess that will be the same with the plugin. Well... as someone said before: I'll will put it in my template so that it's a cool reminder anyway...

Ahh... but in that case, which is also what I'd be doing if I were recording again now, you'd still have to store the Rig/s in your project's folder or in Rig manager, Michael. Damian's plugin means you can forget about it.
Personally I'd still drag the Rig/s to my project folder just-in-case and for future-proofing, but at least in the foreseeable future the plugin means we'll always have the appropriate Rigs at-hand, right where they belong.
