J4 is 'auto start' according to the diagram on my ebay auction. i just thought it odd that its on both board pics here but not mentioned for installation

I forgot about that jumper.. It is as you said

Well, if you are a 19" rack guy like me why not just go with a Palmer Macht 402?
Yes, building your own power amp is of course fun and interesting to do.
Yes, having a powered cabinet is also a fun thing to do.
But if you already have a 19" rack and lug it to gigs then I would simply go with the Power Macht 402 (German made, $399.00 state side).
Dual channel 200 Watts per @ 4 Ohm.
Yes it has tone controls, but at zero they are de-activated.
If you are interested, in order to keep this thread clean perhaps one should start a new thread 'Power Macht 402, External Power'.
Or Search for 'external power'. There is another thread here talking about external power amps / sources.
And no, I do not work for Palmer or any retailer that sells them.
Actually, I've seen the Macht 402 mentioned before. I feel like I'd read a couple of people saying it didn't quite sound as good, or something else that wasn't quite right. I could be wrong though. I'll definitely look into it some more, because that would make things pretty easy. Thanks for the suggestion on that.

I’ve been watching the thread with interest. Can you list the Parts Express part number for the cables that are required? I looked on their site and the amp is obvious but looks like they have a few cables associated with it? Thanks in advance for any insight
-
you can get the parts for the jacks for small money the brand is JST Connectors, all Names of the Connectors and the Inlays for them you find
in the Manual for the Icepower, cost a few cents.

I checked the ASC 200 against the BAM and i like the Icepower more, small difference but to me its important
Thanks again for all the Help from you guys, now i have a working active Kemper Kabinett !!

this is the cable set i bought recently

Hey all - could use any insight. I'm woefully ignorant on circuits.
I'm planning to replace the speakers in my OrangePPC412 - which are celestion V30s. The specs say 16 ohm and 240w power handling for the cabinet.
I want to replace all 4 with Kones. I want to wire them the same way...no 2x2 or leaving the old speakers in or anything goofy. The Kone specs say power handling 200w and 4ohm impedance.
So will the 4ohms wired in series (I believe) be 16ohms and the same impedance? Does the power handling make a difference? Given the impedance I assume the Kemper (powered toaster) through the current cabinet and the cabinet with Kones in it will be basically the same volume?
Basically the Orange already sounds awesome with the Kemper, but I'm looking at the Kones for even more dynamic options.
Thanks for any input or tips.

Assuming the Orange cab has 4x 16 Ohm V30 drivers, it is likely wired with two series pairs in parallel giving 16 ohms overall. If you wire the four Kones exactly the same way, you will have 4 Ohms impedance overall with 800watts of power handling.
This 4 Ohm confuration will be an ideal load for the Kemper power amp. Volume wise, the V30s are about 2dB more efficient than the Kones I believe but the Kemper IcePower amp will push more power through a 4 Ohm load than a 16 Ohm load. It should go as loud as you would ever require and then some.
I would take off the back and photograph the current wiring configuration with a phone for reference. If you need wiring diagrams for series/parallel setup you can find them online pretty easily and there have already been some posted here on the forum in threads about the Kones.

Hey Antipodes - thanks so much for the reply. This is the inside[Blocked Image: https://photos.app.goo.gl/JKUHNen6Q7mhampM8]. Looks to me like your guess was right on the wiring...so I'll plan to swap them exactly.
Not sure that image link will work - here's another pic link in case:

Guitar pickups can pickup interference from radio frequency emitting devices - that gets amplified by your amp chain and played back by your speaker. Kabinet is not a source, just a playback system. The interference needs to be amplified so it entered further back down the chain - likely in your guitar or leads.

Can you get this noise when the same chain drives another cab?
-
could it be that you have a power problem ?
ask this because many LED of the KPA EQ and Volume are Blinking in this Video
this is no normal behavior
