Hy Kempers, short question. Is it necessary to shutdown my Kemper with the whole shutdown procedure by turning the main selector to "off"? My Kemper lifes in powered rack an I turned it on and of with the main switch on the power conditioner mainly. What do you think?

the shutdown procedure is there for a reason. The PROFILER is doing some housekeeping during that procedure which is not possible if you simply kill the power. Doing so can potentially lead to problems with your database and is therefore not recommended.

I have experienced losing power during a performance and also during a subsequent boot-up.
It did not do the KPA any favours- ended up i couldn't enter performance mode without the KPA crashing.
I'm guessing this is more likely due to the power-loss during boot-up. (Consequently, that was not a fun gig!!)
Apparently, an edit buffer got scrambled as part of this interruption though support did offer a way to clear this temporary fault, which i didn't learn till a few days later.

I think that the kemper is an amp but also a computer. For a Professional use I really would implement a little UPS in my setup.

Thx for your thoughts guys

I remember that thread. I was giving someone advice to always shut down the Kemper using the knob and then Mr CK came and blew me away
