I use what I have....a Vox V125 valve Head and 2 x 12 Cab with Celestion V30;s.
Had a bit of trouble to start with....didnt plug the guitar in 
Anyhow...got it going...did the profile, refined , tweaked and its actually pretty accurate so...
I reckon I could get into this.. 
Yes, get as many different sounds as you want/like out of the Vox and make a new profile of each.
The gain is the Kemper's estimate of how much gain is in the amp itself. You increase the gain while profiling by driving the amp harder. I imagine if the gain is showing as almost zero in Rig Manager it's a clean sound.
The profile will match your amp gain setting on the amp when profiled. Anymore, the number of refinements to get a good profile has dropped from the beginning of Kemper time. I usually still refine once.

Copy the rigs from your KPA to your computer. You can Drag and Drop from Rig exchange to a local folder.
Log into the Kemper website. Go to Rig Exchange, Select Upload.
Err...ok so how do I upload to Exchange?....dont tell me one at a time via the USB stick and all that ?
Looks like you have it sorted, but you don't need the USB stick if you're hooked up to the KPA.
