Got myself a great deal on DXR12, plugged in and oh dear....awful sound....
Bit of fiddling and realised I had to uncheck the Cab box !.......all sounding very cool now.
These DXR are loud man !

In Output setting I have Monitor Cab Off unchecked....otherwise it sound s terrible...this is correct ?
Should I have Pure Cab on ?
If Monitor out is going to the DXR > then yes you have it correct. Pure Cab can be on or off to your liking. Either way is ok for the output.

It sounds like a can of bees if I do this without cab simulation on…Correct, he does have the Cabinet Sim on by unchecking Cab off in the output section for the Monitor output. It would be checked if hooked to a guitar cabinet via power amp. But some use it either way, or so I'm told. Me, unchecked when going into my DXR12 via the Monitor output.

Yes - the checkbox in question is the one that automatically disables the Cab in the Monitor and Speaker outputs.

This what I have...with the Cab sim box checked mine also sounds like a can of bees !....sometimes those check boxes sort of read backwards dont they ?
