You are def. right Armin. Best digi gear ever. I dont really remember when I got my first toaster, I think it was in the end of 2013. But I remember very well how hard it was to get the right sound out of it. I tried many different solutions and ended up with an frfr for live and two rokit rp 6 g3 for playing at home.

And it takes a lot of time and experience to get a real cool tone out of it. This means, this is not a plug and play unit, you need a deeper view into all the fantastic parameters which help to make a profile really shine. I have met some very disappointed guys over the years who play the kpa. They told me that the unit sounds like there is a woolplate over the cab, sometimes no punch, too dark and so on. They never used the parameters because of less time or no understandig what happens when changing parameters. We had some discussions, some parameter changing maybe a change of the cab and voila, they got a big smile .....

Over the years, the biggest thing for me is to choose the right cab. I have tested profiles which sounded not right for my taste and after changing the cab the sun comes up, no matter if it was a studio or merged profile.

I love this green monster but I miss an editor........

It's amazing that Kemper Mk. 1 is still going strong without a successor on the horizon.
I've said it before, but this concept of longevity and value-keeping is quite unique in the digital world.
The Kemper team deserve a big round of applause just for this.

I had mine for 5 years, Still think it's a game changer in-line with Marshall, Boogies and other iconic amps. It doesn't replace them though.

For me, it was a plug and play device from about a hour after I got it. You get what you put in, as simple as that. I could get a great sound from it from day one without tweaking and it's still the case. I don't think I've read whole manual yet If there is a MK II, I'll be getting it day one too.

6 Years already? Times flies for sure. I remember when I got mine and it was a big YES!!! Eventually I connected a guitar to the sound card and compared with amp sims I used to use and...yuk! How flat, lifeless, boring and crappy it sounded. If my Kemper would die I would buy a new one immediately.

Six years without a worthy competitor is something in today's disruptive times for sure.

I can think of very few digital products that can maintain their edge over other alternatives for that long.

I'm only 4 months in with mine, but that doesn't diminish my reverence for this amazing magical musical masterpiece!

3 1/2 Years with mine. Still feels like I'm just getting started. Probably the the best gear purchase I ever made. Thats a saying a lot since its digital.
