Pickup Recomendation for Les Paul Studio

Any PAF style would go for a LP. I first looked at big manufacturers like BK for mine but ended up with Japanese Hysteric Bar and if not I would have tried local market ones. I found lots of great local little manufactures

I had a Lundgren Heaven 57 in my LP-77 for a while but at the time I played through a Boss GT10 and I didn't like that combo..but then again I didn't find any other PUp that made the gt10 sound good either...I may try it again with the kemper as I don't like the burstbucker that came with the LP-90 I just bought.
right now I have the emg 57/66 on top of my list of pu's to try but the chrome and brushed chrome seem to be out of stock everywhere except in the U.S but that means I'd have to pay about 30% more (taxes,customs, shipping) ..does anyone know where I can get a set in europe?

for know I stick with my old gibson 498/490 set which actually sound really good.

Lollar and kinman have great reviews as well known pickups brands.

One important thing is that I'd go for alnico 2 magnets, or even alnico 3 but not alnico 5. These have higher output and are less balanced. With the KPA being able to manage well low signals and transparently increase it with the gain knob or a booster it if you miss some heat, go for low output ones.

Dimarzio air norton on neck and dimarzio super distortion on bridge position here. The perfect match.

Having owned almost any pickup brand known to man - I'd say be careful - the pickup market can be seriously (over)hyped.
You can spend some serious $$ and always chase the newest flavor of the month for being more accurate than the next.
In the end, after a lot of lost $$, I found that some 'budget' models sounded and worked much better for me than some of those voodoo brands, where they have their great-grandma on a lessona machine scattering a wire as thin as a human hair over dust that was harvested in 1959.

Ok, my post is a bit tongue-in-cheek of course - but what I'm trying to say is that sometimes, you are happy with a budget brand/model and don't even realize it...

All this is IME and MHO - so that doesn't mean much - just a word of caution

For an LP Studio I wouldn't go overboard with the boutique stuff. I'd be looking for a used Duncan set, most people like the JB/Jazz combo. But, I like the '59 set when on a budget. On the high end, I'm a loyal WCR guy...best pickups I've ever played without the hype or need for wacky names or fancy packaging. Once you go scatterwound, it's hard to go back. I'm very happy with my Arcane Inc. Brownbuckers. Way better then the original PAFs.

This isn't really going to help but I love the stock pick ups on my Studio, warm yet focused.

They also make a new hotter version called Hot Heaven. I have one and it's one of the best sounding passives I've used. To think of it, top 3 of passive pickups for me are all Lundgren.
