Just noticed price drops on all heads, racks, and pedals (and combos). The prices have dropped at all retailers it appears. I just took delivery on a brand new Powerhead and Foot Controller yesterday so I hope my purchase is not at the wrong time. Weird though, I'd have thought if anything new was coming it would have been at NAMM.
Price drop across the board!

Seriously? Here in Europe the KPA now costs €1699 at Thomann, € 2175 with the remote.
The powered version is more or less €400 more expensive. -

They likely lowered the price simply to be more competitive. -
Or it could mean Kemper mk II is in the pipeline.

...or the strong dollar? Makes European stuff cheap for US boyz.
-
Price is the same from the European Kemper store. Spinnerdeluxe is on the money I reckon!
-
How is the UK price? The Brits complained about higher prices for guitars lately... the Sterling is weak...
(I dont think the Kemper V2 is around the corner)

Could be - but the Apollo Twin for example prices where lowered just days before release of upgrades and coincided with NAMM - we are past NAMM now so - not sure.

Kemper Two around the corner.

At NAMM when I asked if they are working on a floor model, it was obvious that they are. I think that's more likely a reason than a Kemper II, perhaps knowing that floor models have a huge appeal and would make rack and head configurations harder to sell. Plus, I think a Kemper II would mean they'd save the new delays and features for that release to incentivize it.

MementoMori, I hope you're correct. I just purchased a Helix for convenience and flexibility. I only use it for live use. I got tired of carrying a rack and remote around. The Helix just doesn't come close to the realness of the Kemper in amp sounds, IMHO, so a floor model would be perfect for me.

When I asked at NAMM if they were working on a floor model considering the Helix, AX8, and Headrush being teased, the response I got was a very Kemper-esque, "Mayyyybbeee... would be kind of weird if we didn't, right?". That's as close to a "yes" as you'll get from them. Basically every question I asked at NAMM was greeted with a similar "maybe, maybe not" response. Still, the face I got in response to the question along with the response told me that it's definitely on the horizon. When exactly? Good luck getting anything from Kemper hahaha.

What do you mean cheaper? How much cheaper did you get it? and from where? I will buy one from them!
-
In the USA, JRR Shop has some "B-Stock" KPAs for an additional discount.
-
In US Sweetwater is showing non-powered heads with a $181 discount, powered $225 discount, and combo's with controller are $211 discount. So all are a bit lower but nothing dramatic really. Still feel pretty good that 3 years later and several awesome updates later I've only paid about $200 more than people are paying today. I'll take that early adopter hit - no problem!

I haven't been tracking prices but I think UK prices are about the same right now - certainly not mentioning it as special pricing anyway.

Just bought a remote from the european store for €449, which after conversion was just a shade over £400. Been that price for quite some time!

Now that I'm hearing that response for the second time, I wonder how accurate it is. Same for the editor.
"Maybe" can mean yes or no. It could mean now or an eternity later. No point in stirring up a hornet's nest on the forum.
I can imagine six months down the line people will swear "We were promised an editor, where is it?" haha

Strange, a bundle is cheaper than head itself

i'd say it's rather normal to have considerable pricing differences between different countries, no?
it's not for nothing that from time to time people go buy stuff in the uk or usa, and not in germany (f.e.)
unless i'm totally not getting something (as i usually do...), then disregard my senile mumblings... -
