Yet another guitar legend joins the Kemper family !!
-
Yup, another one bites the bits.
-
Woohoo !! great news

PMG was the first concert I ever saw. It was at Princeton University, probably around 1981. It was either their first gig or first tour with Naná Vasconcelos. There were probably only around 30-50 people in the audience. That show made a big impact on me going forward. Glad to see him in the family now!

So, the question "Can the KPA produce a Pat Metheny tone?" has been answered.

Wow I'd really like to hear audio of this
Does anyone think it's possible that's just his fly rig, or maybe backline? It would be cool if that was his main rig these days

Pat Metheny is one of my idols , this is fantastic.

Think the paradigmen shift reached the pros worldwide. It was only a question of time.
If they need any hint they are welcome to the forum -
Awesome.
But I'm not surprised. -
I know he was using a Digitech 2101 preamp for awhile. So the Kemper makes sense. He also likes using two delays for his sound, so the recent update should be right up his alley.

One of my favorite Pat Metheny performances was his collaboration with the late Maestro Jerry Goldmith (one of my favorite film composers) for the soundtrack of the film "Under Fire". In particular, Metheny provides the wonderful spanish/flamenco guitar accompaniment to the fantastic composition "Bajo Fuego":

It might possibly be his "Japan" rig for that tour. But this is just voices from the campfire

Not sure if the man himself can produce it these days, if that White House gig's anything to go by.Gianfranco, I just saw that the same thought occurred to you, mate. Great minds... great minds.
