That´s the question, since many are posting Kemper technical questions on the "open" part of the forum. There would not seem to be any risk in just opening up the private forum to everyone...
Why now have a private part of the forum?

I guess it would take away the family feeling for Kemper owners. A little extra something for buying one.

Thanks for your input Inthrutheout. BTW, any idea why I have a black star over my icon? Would one of the moderators out there care to cast some light on this? @DonPetersen perhaps?
-
I think that the main reason is avoiding trolling from people who don't actually own a Profiler.

I think that indicates who is the thread starter/author/OP.

Good to know - I thought it might be the start of a black marking system...

I also believe that in the German mentality it makes sense to separate the two groups: it's more orderly.

I think it makes sense to have separate posting privileges for Troubleshooting Questions and Answers. And, if everyone on the Internet could post their music, that forum would have very little to do with the KPA.

Yes - more practical reasons - not mentality
I think it avoids also a lot of spam and aggressionsThe public area goes not so deeply in the funtionality of the KPA.

I don't think you would want just anyone posting in that subcategory either. Why would you want help or an opinion from someone that doesn't even have a KPA.

so that every time someone has a problem, some AxeFX prick doesn't come along and scream how his gear does the same thing better etc.

Do not misunderstand this and I have been misunderstood before, but I think you should be aware of the ramifications of what you have just said. My mother´s line is from Aleppo. Peace.

Understood. I guess I was trying too hard to be the naive, good mannered neighbour. Thanks for your well meant input. -

Syria my friend. Once a great place for all mosaic beliefs, and still larger than Damascus. -
Syria my friend. Once a great place for all mosaic beliefs, and still larger than Damascus.Woah.... I think you misunderstood Viabcroce's comment (or maybe I misunderstood yours). I think he was just referring to the common perception of Germans being structured and orderly in their way of doing things, which in these forums turns into having some dedicated sub-forums for registered users - nothing more.
Peace!
