Performance slot volumes

    So I have created some performances for songs we are gigging soon, however the problem I have is that say in slot 1 I have an overdrive sound, this seems quite loud with the vol around half way round.

    In slot 2 I have a clean chorus sound, this vol is still low by comparison even if a wind it right up, whats the best way to overcome this please?

    I have noticed that rigs do tend to have some very variable volumes, why is this?
