No, not giving up my Kemper but after some thought I realized that I did not really bring much of use the the Kemper Forum community or get that much out of it. I look forward to still getting a lot out of future updates and enjoying the KPA but there is not much in the way of a thriving community here. The final straw though was the fact that the company (who is free to do what they want) actively seeks to censor and stifle dissent and I can't stand by a community that seems to be happy with that. Goodbye deadpan, ingolf and paults and even those of you I didn't like much!
Goodbye

@SwAn1 - hope you change your mind and come back. Best of luck.
-
Hopefully we will see you back.
People are passionate which can be a bit overbearing, ignore it and enjoy everything else!
-
Play your guitar more, instead of posting (I've had some significant periods of that myself). Enjoy the updates when they come, and play even more. "We'll leave a light on for you!"

Your SwAn1 Song?
I think it's easy to get this impression. I work in a lab where people are isolated and its a common thing there as well.
Like paults (can you change your name, I keep getting "faults" for spelling correction) said, you need a vacation from it.What I get most is when I ask questions. The experience here is tremendous help. And I don't mean for the Kemper. Could be something for recording or songwriting. Sometimes in just a PM to someone. The more you reach out, the more folks reach back.
-
Yeah, I get it. However, you can hang around and pick things up that are useful without getting too involved. Playing music is the prime goal anyway. Take care and enjoy.
-
Hopefully you'll Be back soon @SwAn1.
Often the best things come over a dissence. -
I'm sure you will be back soon. keep enjoying the kemper though
-
Farewell, i havent actually noticed any stifling of dissent which you mentioned, but maybe i just dont dissent enough, have to work on it, cheers

"... not much in the way of a thriving community here".
Really? Man, I have trouble keeping up with all the new threads and posts; it's the most active single-product or company forum I've ever used. Said activity suggests to me that it is thriving.
Apart from the "frenzied" activity, we have a huge number of very generous members, both with their time as well as in their profile-sharing and creating activities.
Perhaps you're just seeing things through a temporality-tainted lens, SwAn1. As has been suggested, a break might be in order; chances are you'll be back bushy-tailed and bright-eyed before you know it.
OK, it's wishful thinking on my part, but you know what? If this wasn't a thriving community, there'd be nobody jumping in and asking you to reconsider. So please, for what it's worth, SwAn1, reconsider mate!
EDIT: This "non-thriving" community has just broken its record for most users online according to Paul.

Enjoy the KPA - see you soon.

Yeah! Same here! BTW, I can relate to the banning issue...
Take care and cut some good slack and maybe see around again on the Kemper Forum.Make music bro' !
-
Go and enjoy your guitars and kemper, that's more important than forums;)
-
I don't bring much to the table either, but that won't stop me from occasionally posting. Some of you disgruntled users need to be set straight.

Ha ha ha Pudgie. That pic's funny mate.
It just occurred to me that this "Goodbye" thread is SwAn1's SwAnsong.
-
Sad to see you go.
Maybe I've been here too short to see any downsides, but I must say the forum has already proven very useful to me as a new user. -
Your SwAn1 Song?
Dang. Just thought I'd give you credit where it's due, db. I didn't realise you'd beaten me to it when I wrote my previous post.Wuddun, mate.
The more you reach out, the more folks reach back.
