I haven't owned a bass in 10 years, but I picked up this one over the weekend.
I don't play bass because when I do, I just sound and look like a guitarist holding a bass. My last one was a gorgeous fretless Musicman Stingray, and for me, it was a lost cause. Maybe this one will be a keeper. I'm loving the neck.
This is the first Fender instrument I've had in 10 or 15 years.

New to me, a 1990 Greco made in Fujigen :I regretted selling my Japanese Burny LPC since day one and even tried to track it down to no avail…
To be honest I didn’t expect too much from this well played Greco and it blew my mind. I need to adapt to the neck (medium but kind of convex shaped) and the frets (fret less wonder style) but it sounds and feels sooooo good 😍
I was ready to swap the pickups immediately but I changed my mind as soon as I plugged it in. The middle position has some kind of out of phase trick and it produce very beautiful cleans and edge of breakup thing. It chimes without any harshness.
No idea what the pickups are, they’re supposed to be stock but I’m not sure about that, they’re quite hot. I’ll need to pop them out to see what they are.

I own a Burny RLC 60. (see signature)
It not only looks good, it sounds as good as it looks. 
It has an extremely slim neck profile. I will definitely never sell this guitar.
If I remember correctly, the Burny was built at the Terada factory at that time, and the Greco in Matsumoto. Terada no longer exists. Matsumoto (Matsumoku) now builds for FGN and especially the Momose outstanding guitars.
I owned a 1979 Greco 900. It was modeled after the R9. The sound was extraordinary. However, I could never really get used to the neck profile. That's why, after much deliberation, I sold it again.
You can't go far wrong if buying these guitars. The resale value of the Grecos, such as the 900, 1200, and 2000, is quite stable. They have collector's value.

just got he 84' fujigen Artist out of storage , a bit of tuning and here you are :
1984'Ibanez artist AM50 - brillante comme au premier jour, incroyable pour une gratte de 40 ans ! et elle sonne, comme tu peux l'entendre , surtout depuis l'upgrade avec P90 faits à la main par mon luthier.
Derrière tu peux voir une autre Fujigen , une J-6 Washburn , elle aussi impeccable ! La dernière est une Yamaha SG1000, en stockage.
A 2012 American Deluxe with the pushbutton for five extra pickup combinations.
StewMac had their kits on sale. This is a nice one for $120.

I just got the Washburn L5 copy out of the closet for a surf recording , it's J6TS, with a super slim neck , sound fantastic for jazz, rockabilly and surf etc ...
Listen to that thick tone, almost impossible to do on regular flat solid body guitars
