Hello people, my name is Lloyd and I've been playing guitar for close to 10 years, recording for 2-3 years. I'm planning on getting a Kemper in january and thought I might as well sign up to the forum. Here's a couple questions for all the Kemper users, how do you like your Kemper? Why did you choose it over a real amp?
Hi everyone

Welcome!
I chose the Kemper because it enables me to play every amp I want, at any volume, always at the sweet spot. -

Welcome!
The KPA sounds and feels like my amps when I use it onstage. Unlike my amps, it sounds just as good if I turn it down, or use it with in-ear monitors or studio monitors.

Thanks, I like what I've heard from the kemper so far, I mainly want it because I'd like an amp for a tight, dry metal tone and then switch to a bright clean, and then to a more Marshall classic metal type of tone all from one amp, and for only £1,119 from Andertons, it seems like a FANTASTIC deal, especially when compared to Axe FX. not that I've tried that either but as someone who is getting part time pay, Kemper seems like the better option for my wallet

ZombieLoyd - as someone lucky enough to have both, given your stated use and your budget, I think that the Kemper would be a great choice. Till it arrives, spend some time listening to the various profile dealer's sound samples till you find ones that are close to what you want. For an extra 10-20 dollars in profiles you will be able to hit the ground running. You could also ask people on the forum what free profiles on the rig exchange may work for your style of music. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi & Welcome!

Welcome ZombieLloyd!!

Welcome, Lloyd!
Yeah, if you like the demos you've heard, you can't go wrong with "that SinMix guy's" profiles, mate.
As far as the choice of the Kemper is concerned, my reasons are no different from everyone else who's chimed in, except that, like many on the forum, my background was Line6.
Talk about selling a garage-full of minis to buy a Ferrari...

My only experience with Line 6 was a Spider IV my brother bought. I'd much rather use my Marshall Valvestate 8040 any day.
He ended up selling the Line 6 Spider.Welcome to the Forum!
