Going off beam here I know. Basically I sold an EHX deluxe electric mistress sent the power adapter with it which was a 24v 50 ma wall wart type. Anyways the purchaser asks for a refund says the pedal isn't working right. I got it back and there really no fx sound at all. The pedal is built like a tank and no signs of damage. It has a little adapter which looks like a standard 9v adapter would fit. I suspect the buyer has stuck a 9 v 200 ma standard boss type adapter in there, but I don't know if this would fry the insides of the EHX pedal. Based on the above would anyone have an idea?? Electric power issues not my strong point.
Anyone who understands powers supplies for fx units?

Low voltage won't typically damage anything, otherwise battery-powered pedals would be dying left and right.
However, it looks like the EHX adapter is wired for reverse polarity compared to your typical 9v pedal supply - if he connected a standard supply to it, he almost certainly fried something.

Thanks, appreciate it.
