I just love the sound on the fist 4 king's x albums the guitar tone is to die for but that bass tone is something else I know that a 8 string bass was use on some of the songs so that be done with the pitch on the kemper. Any help on this would be fantastic

Doug Pinnick also played 12-string basses.
that's two octave strings (tuned identically) for each 'standard' string. -
i too would love to see a great profile for 8/12 string bass emulation :^)

here's an idea for the basic layout of the rig:
pre-stack
- drop your guitar's pitch with a pitchshifter by an octave
- compensate with the formant shift feature
- use the mix parameter to bring in the 'octaves' (the original signal of your guitar)
- add a chorus to get a effect similar to the doubled octave strings and set the crossover high enough, so it doesn't mess with the solidity of the low notesstack
- pick a not to clean amp (maybe a profile of a sansamp for starters?)
- eq
- definition, clarity and mix can make all the difference herepost-stack
- compress, eq or vice versa
